No one at front Desk had to wait ages, room was so cold kids and I was freezing no heating:( went to front desk again no one there. Then was told no heating as it’s been switched off till mid October there was no heaters available was given 2 blankets to keep warm? Breakfast was not better was there at just before 9:30 lots of items was not there so had to ask few times and it was few customers doing the same. I heard the lady going crazy at staff in the back saying this not good and to keep an eye on food in the front. Had again to ask for glasses for juice which took ten mins when I had to remind them there was none. 10 they close they closed the front door my son who’s 12 went to toilet just about come back in and the lad shut the door on him which made him walk off had to tell them that was my son. Also while eating breakfast same lady was telling off the boy these tables have to be cleared before you going home as wanted leave before and was told off. We not been here for a bit but was happy with the hotel and service. We spent a lot of money had horrible nights sleep in a freezing room. I never stayed in hotel with out heating:(

The rom was freezing cold, I was told the hotel central heating was not working. The restaurant was closed, I had to eat at a buffet bar and the food was good but £30 per head when all i wanted was a sandwich and soup was a little pricey. Will avoid next time I am in the area

The hotel has become progressively worse since I’ve been using it the last two years. It has now got to a point where I will not be using it again. Restaurant closed and no one informed us, there was a buffet offered which was well overpriced and poor, to make it worse all the kitchen units and hot plates in the buffet room were thick with dust and debris on the top, which is why I never eat breakfast offered in that room, then and I asked how long the restaurant would be closed for, and the manager who usually operates the bar restaurant just walked off and said ‘I don’t know, don’t ask me’. The hotel is a long distance to anything else and it was very late in the evening, no one informed us of this. I was here on business too, so talking to a colleague, we had food delivered, then told we can’t eat in any open areas, either room or outside, so it ruined two nights of working dinners with my team. A new young team in the spa, that you have to pay for are more interested in their phones than taking your money and just sit behind a desk. The previous personnel only a couple of months ago were fantastic. The rooms are generally clean and stocked properly, keep temperature but now all the floor boards are starting to creek heavily and you can hear people all around and above. The management have let this place become a shadow of its previous self.

Nice comfortable room and bed. Pleasant staff at reception. We just arrived slept 1 night and left in the morning. No complaints here. Would be nice to go back and spend a couple nights and try out all the other facilities that are available

No amenties. Was told the food was not edible. By the front desk. No cleaning or fresh linens had to go to front desk to get clean towels. And coffee cups

Didn’t use the gym or facilities had to pay extra to use. Room wasn’t very clean. Food tasted microwaved. ordered a pizza also and it was all soggy no refund given. Room was freezing, there was a buzzing noise all night but the staff didn’t know what it was.

Would have been a 5star review but not being able to turn the radiator on was a huge disappointment, as my wife has an illness which is greatly effected by the cold, so i had to go out and buy a plug in heater.

The accomodations was nice, the reception staff and porterage were VERY good. It's a nice location and parking is easy, although the lane to the hotel is quite busy with golf traffic at times. The bar and restaurant was fair at best, little choice for a hotel bar and many offerings that were listed on menu's for Gins and food menus not actually available. If you're in a rush don't order food, if you're not desperate expect 40-50 minutes wait between tapping your card at the bar and picking up your eating irons...

Couldn't get hold of the spa to book any treatments prior to our visit and while we were there. That is part of the reason we wanted to stay there. Rooms were not cleaned properly and worn out items in the bathroom. The food was average.

Arrived on Sunday night to be told the restaurant was closed all week and it was a hot buffet, looked at menu and paid the £29.95. It was appalling, the staff seemed embarrassed one of them even referring to it as slops! No one available to refund, or on Monday before and after work. Breakfast buffet supremely mediocre and when asking for poached eggs I was told they didn’t do them. You have to pay a nominal fee even as a resident to use the pool facilities and, I had regrettably booked for 2 nights, housekeeping don’t come mid stay which I have never experienced before. The pressure on the shower was good though paint was flaking off the bath. All in all a total refurb is needed here, and a total review of catering. There is no indication on the website that the restaurant might be closed, it came across that this happens when there are too many guests. To add insult to injury when I had my deliveroo arrive on Monday night and went to borrow some cutlery I was told I couldn’t unless I paid £5 and presented with a wooden alternative!!!!
