The view is pure WOW!

This property was perfect for our little group of three friends from different states, all needing their own space. With three en suite bedrooms we could retreat when needed but most of the main level is an open and inviting living/dining/kitchen area for shared gathering and enjoyment. We loved the hot tub, a great bonus after a day on the windy beach. The trail takes the beach was inaccessible for two of our three but we enjoyed walks at Ona and Driftwood beaches as well as nice hikes along the 804 on our drives to Yachats. PS the food at The Drift Restaurant in Yachats is superb. We were mildly confused about the garbage cans and recycling situation. Evidently recycling is no longer picked up at the property so we took aluminum to Rays in Waldport when there. All in all, this was a fantastic vacation for our threesome and we’d love to return sometime!

Beautiful weekend!

This house was as beautiful as the photos show. Management was amazing to work with. We will definitely be back. Only drawback was the road noise but the view made up for it!

Beautiful home

The home was absolutely perfect for my husband and I and my parents. It was very clean and the location was wonderful. I will say that the trail to the beach is a bit hard to navigate (especially in the rain) but the beach access just down the road is flat and worked perfect for my parents. I’m hoping to stay here again next year!!

Second time we've rented this house

We stayed for a week over Christmas twice now. The views are unparalleled and the house has everything you need. Amber is very responsive and made our stay wonderful.

Beautiful Views! Annoying property management

The house had amazing views! The space was well laid out for a family. The property management company had a huge list of very specific tasks for us to complete before our 10:30 check out and threatened a fine if not completed which seemed a bit much considering we paid

Excellent stay!

The home was very clean with nice appliances, organized (drawers/cupboards labeled!) and well stocked with anything we needed. Towels, blankets, beds, bedding, furnishings, etc. were quality and higher end....which just added to the nice feel of the stay. The hot tub was super nice, clean and seems like new. The home was well maintained. One exception was the south upstairs bedroom windows which was "out of order" and could not be opened to cool the room w/out letting in traffic sounds by the other small roadside window. We like to watch movies at night and the living room TV is quite small, but it worked out ok. The home is a very convenient location for groceries, restaurants and other entertainment. The reason I gave 4-stars on "location/neighborhood" is because it is directly off of the highway and the traffic noise is noticeable if roadside windows are open. However, the amazing ocean sounds mostly drown it out. Commiunication with the host was excellent and helpful! It is a lovely home with amazing views everywhere in the home! We had a wonderful stay, thank you!!

Comfortable seaside stay

Amazing Oceanside home that was very comfortable and had nearly everything we needed. The only thing missing was a working sound system. Our family of four loved the big kitchen, expansive views, hot tub, and access to an incredible beach for long walks. Loved it. Thx!

Ocean views from every room!

The house is beautiful, with all the amenities we had hoped for. Our favorite “room” in the house was the crows nest…perfect for taking in the beauty of the ocean, whale watching, as well as reading, coffee in the morning or sampling glorious Oregon wines! Newport is charming and offers good food, is close to several day trips…and the most friendly people we have encountered while traveling, yet! The property manager was helpful and responsive. Our only wish was to have been able to stay for a longer visit.

Road Trip

We loved staying at Vanishing Sands! We spent most of our free time in the Crows Nest watching the whales! Everything about the home was exactly as advertised only better. We hope to get visit again.

More whales than we could count

We had a fabulous time at this home. There wasnt a single thing that we needed that wasn't there. We had a teen, tween and a dog, and there was plenty of.room for us all. The stunning viewa of the ocean from every room and deck were the best feature of all! Only thing we missed was a place to walk to for.coffee and whatnot. But the location was very convenient to drive to multiple beach spots, dining, grocery and entertainment. Never used the hot tub, but it looked like a great place to enjoy an evening dip with an glass of.wine and a beautiful sunset. We started counting whale spouts the first night, and also stopped the first night. It was a constant and fun to watch with binoculars. Thank you for sharing this lovely home so the rest of us can enjoy such a beautiful spot on the Oregon coast.

Best beach house ever!

I booked this beach house for my 50th birthday and had an amazing time, even with bad weather. They did not forget anything...whatever you need is there. We had such a good time we stayed an extra day. Thank you so much to Ocean Front Properties and Karissa for making our trip amazing. I cannot wait to come back.

Incredible experience

Absolutely magnificent. The house and property are well-maintained and the view to the front of the house is insane from every room. The beds and furniture were comfy, and the kitchen was awesome. Such a treat for everyone to have their own ensuite!!! Hot tub was faaaabulous. Only minor complaints: none of the windows could be opened - which was frustrating in the bedroom in particular, and the BBQ/recycling indicated in the listing weren’t available. Being out of country we weren’t able to take recycle with us so it all went in the garbage. :( Location gets 4 stars only because of the road noise, which is significant and constant 24/7. But none of that matters when you’re on that front patio….

Breathtaking location

A simply incredible location. The house provided an ideal backdrop for hiking, sightseeing, dolphin- and whale-watching, as well as peaceful walks on the beach. The Oregon coast is so underrated and spectacularly beautiful.
