Very nice and quiet hotel, but far from activities

We were very pleased with our 2 days stay at this hotel. The staff is very kind and helpful as we just arrived. They helped us with a lot of things. The hotel itself is beautifully finished and surrounded by trees and plants. Charming. On the other hand, we've booked last minute...and realized after we arrived that it's located far from city center and temples (Angkor Wat per example is at 20-25 min ride). So you need to take a tuk-tuk each time you want to do something. And food / drink are very pricy (for Cambodia) at this hotel. So tuk tuk again. But overall, if you're ok with distance and pricy food, very nice place to stay and relax !

Beautiful, peaceful hotel.

All in all, this is an outstanding and very comfortable hotel. The beauty of the carved wood in the rooms, the superb, courteous service, and the peace and quietness of my stay were particular highlights. The entrance is lovely and exotic, and the pool is beautiful. The gym, though small, was adequate for me with its two good treadmills, a bike, and free weights. The wifi worked well. It is an altogether outstanding "bang for your buck." The location is just a bit outside of the main part of Siem Reap, so you cannot walk to get there, but there are always tuk tuks available to take you where you desire to go promptly. Visiting the main Angkor temples was no issue whatsoever either - it took about 15 minutes to arrive via tuk tuk. My only complaint is that the hotel food was, quite frankly, very bad. I ordered room service the first night and found the shrimp spring rolls not fresh and literally inedible (and I am not picky), and the chicken I ordered was very mediocre. Breakfast was also totally lackluster. If they improved the food, this hotel would merit 5 stars in my opinion. I still recommend the hotel, my only caveat being to make sure you plan to either buy some food in town to keep in the room and/or eat out all the time to avoid eating at the hotel.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our three nights at La Tradition d'Angkor Boutique Resort. The hotel is a bit out of the hustle and bustle of the main strip in Siem Reap, so is nice and quiet. The hotel has lovely grounds including a sizeable restaurant, lovely swimming pool and bar, as well as a gym and massage facilities. The staff were all extremely attentive, polite and helpful. The room was great, very sizeable with a large comfy bed, decent air-con and a nice balcony.

Top class hotel with top facilities

This hotel suits the name traditional boutique hotel, floor, wall doors, stairs, cupboard and bed all in varnished wood, giving a classy (palace like) look to the rooms. Hotel has got a beautiful front yard with lots of area for kids to play around. Rooms were spacious and clean No airport pick up and drop off organised, even though the booking states it includes airport pick up and drop off. i was calling them from airport but no answer, then took a taxi to the hotel, when questioned why no airport transfer was not organised answer was sorry we missed you and then when asked why no one picked the phone answer was sorry phone is not working.

It was a very good hotel, super nice installations, service was very good, employees has a limited English but you can still talk to them. Only bad thing about this hotel is that is away from the city so Tuk Tuk might want to rip you off, a fair price to pay is 4 USD

Staff courteous, but have difficulty answering your needs. No cable TV from day one. Always, tomorrow. Suspect that subscription not paid. Clean, dated a little, generous sized rooms, breakfast modest but included in a very competitive price. Pool towels hit and miss. Cocktail drinks require a committee meeting, sometimes unavailable. Tuk tuk into town always fun.

A beautiful resort, with all needed facilities. Nice and friendly staff. Its close to airport but a little drive to city center. But taxis and many tuk tuks to bring youand hotel arranges a few free transfers every day.

It was a lovely resort with excellent staff. The service was excellent. the condition of the hotel was great. The main cons were a lack of hot water in the shower which got rather annoying day after day, and the location. 3 kms out of town did not seem very far when we booked, but it did get very trying

Shame about the shower

A fantastic place to spend a few days. The only real niggle wa sthe shower and its inability to maintain a stead flow of warm water. It varied between scalding hot and cold without touching the mixer. The staff were fabulous and it was such a shame that they had very few guests while I was there. Being a little bit out of town, was offset by the lovely gardens and great swimming pool.

Unexpected tranquility

A perfect boutique hotel with 25 rooms where my wife and I were virtually the only guests for a week. We never had to share the swimming pool or breakfast dining room. It does not have a tennis court as advertised but has a table tennis table with bats but all the balls were lost. After a days excursion around the Angkor Wat ruins then the following days at the hotel was relaxing and quiet. We would gladly return. We would bring our own Ping Pong balls.

Excellent service

The hotel is tucked away from the main hotel strip so its a bit quieter if that is what you want. We were a bit concerned when we walked into the lobby, which is almost non-existent. The staff were very friendly and nice, giving us a full list of options for the next three days. We were pleasantly surprised when we walked into our family room which turned out to be two spacious rooms connected with a huge door. Both had great bathrooms with brand new fittings and lovely towels. The rooms were extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable with super bedding. What was most wonderful was the staff who were amazing. The Manager went out of his way to make our stay comfortable, at times walking with us to the front gate to make sure our tuk-tuk driver was was at hand and giving him instructions on where to take us etc. We have never met a manager who is more attuned to the needs of his guests. The front office staff, cleaners and drivers were equally accommodating. Since our flight out was at night, the manager offered us a free late check out and when we arrived at his lobby at 4 pm he even asked us to go back and stay in the room until our time of departure. Even the staff didn't seem to mind that we were re-using the room they had already cleaned up. This was truly amazing. We cannot recommend this hotel more and hope those who like a small hotel with amazing staff will chose this for their next stay in Siem Reap.

First class rooms in very quiet location, yet only 10mins from pub street by Tuktuk Huge rooms - excelent for children since plenty of space to play in rooms and garden Good pool, - heavy on the chlorine Breafast - large and varied Small and exclusive - only 16 suites Only downside we saw was no lift, but top floor is only 3 stories and if you don't want to climb take a ground floor room Great staff We would stay again Hire a daily tuktuk - $15 - and you can eat out in pub street whenever you want
