The rooms were clean, although the rooms and overall building were also dated and showing signs of wear. There was also a daily (hidden) 'amenity fee' they claim all hotels in the downtown area charge guests, so be prepared for an extra charge of >$35/night to appear on your credit card.

We loved this hotel!! Just beautiful and wonderfully located. Parking was a little hard because of our vehicle, but we managed!! Will definitely stay here again!

I would not rate this hotel as “wonderful”as you have. You need to warn that are lots of steps required to many rooms with no elevator. Parking also very limited.

The property is in a unique and interesting area of town. If you drive anything other than a compact car, it is nearly impossible to get it into the underground parking garage, and according to the front desk attendant, there isnt anywhere else to park unless you want to use the dirt lot behind the hotel Our bathroom needed an update as there were tiles missing around the tub. If you are checking in at night, it will be very dark when entering the room, so use your phone flashlight because there is a staircase going down right past the entry door. This could have led to a nasty accident since we werent aware and this was our first time to stay.

we were informed after check -in that construction would be going on during our stay. We had to walk thru broken adobe, tools , wire, etc, just to get out of our room and walk to office. There was noise 3 out of the 4 days we were there. There are no elevators to upstairs rooms and no one at hotel to assist with luggage. Very difficult for senior citizens to carry luggage thru construction area and up and down stairs

Wish we knew beforehand

The hotel is clean and the rooms are big. It’s located close by the plaza and a lot of other site seeing places. Plus, parking is included in your stay. However, things I would want others to know that I didn’t, is that there are a lot of stairs depending on where your room is located. Yes, there is an elevator that will take you from the parking garage to the lobby. However, if you are not located in a room in the front half of the hotel and could possibly be placed on the second level of the back half, there are quite a bit of stairs to go up. The first to get to the second half has probably about ten and then the narrow one leading up to the second floor room was about 15 steps. So be cautious if you are carrying a lot of stuff or it’s heavy or you have a handicap of some sort to keep that in mind. Also, it took a bit of time to get the ac going in the room. The staff was friendly and they offer some morning snacks along with coffee and tea. Snacks such as granola bars and cookies. Hope this helps.

Always enjoy our visit to Santa Fe and Hotel Chimayo has become part of our annual tradition. Aside from its proximity to the Plaza, the hotel has continued to be comfortable and welcoming for us and our dog. Many thanks to the friendly staff for making our visit awesome once again.

We loved the Hotel Chimayo de Santa Fe. Our room was spacious with a small balcony and sitting area with a fireplace. We were able to very comfortably fit a trundle bed for our child. The location is very convenient, with everything downtown Santa Fe has to offer within an easy walk. It was charming, clean, comfortable and the staff were warm and accommodating. Thank you for having us!

Just received the bill for what I understood to be free parking. ($32 per day charged). Also, I wish I had clarified that our first floor room did not have stairs. There was an elevator from the parking garage to the lobby, but then we had to climb a staircase to the room door and then a steep staircase up to the room inside the door. The door opened right up to the steps, so it was difficult to get the suitcases in with the door open. To be fair, at check-in, the desk clerk did say to call him if we needed assistance, but we were just not prepared for all the steps for a room we thought was on the first floor. Location of the hotel was great.
