Affordable food options were very limited, no fast cheap options available within 30 minutes. I spent almost as much on food as I did our 3 night stay. This has zero to do with the property tho, they were amazing! We plan to go back

Lovely, low key ocean retreat

This is a very nice, low key resort that emphasizes the ocean. We had a beautiful room, balcony and indoor seating overlooking ocean, fireplace and just overall a pleasure. We want to return, which says it all.

What you see is what you get. Cool property right on the water. However, we were quite disappointed that our fireplace didn’t work as designed. We lit the firewood around 10pm and our room filled with smoke, as the smoke refused to vent out through the chimney. We inspected the fireplace to see if we had missed a step or had failed to open a vent but there was nothing we could see. What we had hoped to be a nice stay turned into a what seemed to be an oversight of property maintenance. We could live with that. What we weren’t ok with was that when we shared this with the front desk, we received no apology and they used the often tired excuse of “well, you should have told us when it happened.” Um… no. Not at 10pm when we had already gotten cleaned up, we’re about to open a bottle a wine and were winding down from driving all day. We weren’t about to move rooms or worse, have a repair man enter our room at that hour and subject ourselves to an undetermined amount of time that the repair would have required. Do better, Cavalier.

The hotel is on a cliff right by the ocean. You cannot beat that! The construction is outdated but everything works as it should. The property is clean and staff is very responsive. As with any property by the ocean in this area, expect some windy times and dress accordingly. The Restaurant’s food has a good breakfast menu and all we order was very good.
