We didn’t have a meal at the hotel. We have always stayed at this property when in SA but this time wasn’t special. There were a stack of linens sitting on table in room. There was a ring in the bathtub. A piece of the TP hanger was hanging loose. Small things but things that make us wonder if quality is slipping. Also we waited for bellman and decided to lug our luggage down after a long wait.

The room was adequate size and clean. Check in was a long and not a very friendly lady. Unfortunately, we got a room with a triple cracked sink in the bathroom. A grubby bath tub, and a coffee machine that we couldn’t get to work no matter what. Good toiletries. Our fridge was not working and we had to have it replaced. So my experience was not great. The pillows also are extremely high but the bed was comfortable. The location is good very walkable to all sections of the river walk. Parking across the street or one block up is much cheaper in the public parking than the hotel valet, but there are in and out charges. Good bar/sitting area on the river level.

The staff were excellent-gracious, kind and wanting to go above and beyond with customer service. This is definitely a hotel to stay if you enjoy impeccable customer service. The one item that was less than stellar was that my room hadn't fully been cleaned yet, but I was doing early check in. Fast Eddy-Bellhop, Thurston & AJ-concierge and Francisco at the Ambler were FANTASTIC!
