Our family of four kids and four adults had an absolutely wonderful time at Casa Mesakeca! Everything was exactly as described in the listing, right down to the visits from howler monkeys and the proximity to an excellent beach. When the power went out our first night (not a typical occurrence), the property managers were incredibly responsive and fixed it immediately. I can't recommend Casa and Samara highly enough!

Our family of 10 just completed a terrific ten day stay at Casa Mesakeca. The host (Sue) was very gracious and easy to communicate with and the local manager was equally helpful and communicative. The house is beautiful, spacious and well appointed with everything needed for an enjoyable stay. We had plenty of room to spread out as needed and the large living area, kitchen, dining area and pool also made it easy for the 10 of us to enjoy family meals and fun. The setting is peaceful and the drive to town and the beach is short (5 minutes or so). There are sufficient pool and beach toys, chairs etc. on site to support fun in or beside the water in either location. We all agreed it was a comfortable and enjoyable place to stay and we’d definitely be interested in rebooking the next time we return to Samara.

House looked amazing on vrbo and did not disappoint! Very comfortable, every amenity you could ask for and more! Perfect distance from Samara ..just a short 5-10 min drive to a great beach. Woke up to howlers a few times and they came and visited us in the yard too! Host was also super approachable! Thank you Sue!

This is our second time staying here. I would give it an 11/10 if possible. We stayed here with friends and family, there was ample space for all of us. The whole house is amazing from the bedrooms to the kitchen and the pool. Perfect place in the perfect location. We can’t wait to return.

Absolutely fantastic

This home is spectacular. It was the perfect place for our large family of 11 - beautiful, extremely well equipped, the hosts are so responsive. I cannot recommend highly enough! Location was amazing but we didn’t even want to leave the house!

Beautiful home in great location

We enjoyed the house. We had a few hiccups with the appliances but nothing that truly impacted our stay. It is a nice property with beautiful views with howler monkeys in the trees. Pool was a favorite of our kids and the location is just minutes from Samara beach access and the shopping and restaurants.

Two family getaway

We had a wonderful time at the property. We traveled with two families, each family had a three year-old and a five month old baby. The property was perfect for us. We had so much fun playing in the pool with the toddlers, and there were all of the accommodations that we needed to feel comfortable and safe with the babies. The kitchen was completely stocked and we were able to do all of the cooking we needed. We loved the pizza oven and had a really fun pizza night as well. All the communication with the property management team and the owner was wonderful. The house is beautiful, has a ton of room and is really close to the town and all of the beaches. The house was a great place to just spend the day if we wanted a relaxing day. It also was so easily accessible to all of the other areas. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!! We loved the property.

Exceptional Lodging in Sámara

We were family of four adults and three children under 9 years old. We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. The host asked us for our bed preferences and had all rooms set up exactly as we had requested. The house is very well equipped for a family group and is in a great location: on a quiet, wooded lot about a five minute drive from Sámara town and beach. We spent mornings on the beach and the afternoons in the delightful pool. The local property managers were helpful and responsive. We hope to stay here again!

Amazing trip with family

This was the first visit to Costa Rica for my family (spouse, kiddos, and parents). I had been 20 years ago, but not to Samara. The house was perfectly set up and offer space and place for everyone. Each day, we were greeting by howler monkeys and iguanas. The mother-in-law would make morning coffee and sit at the patio watching the passing monkey troup. My youngest daughter was in love with the pool and spent more afternoons there. The house itself is near but not directly in town and was quiet peaceful each day. We would easily come back again.

Great family vacation!

This spacious home provided a grounding home base for our adventure to Costa Rica. We are a family of 8 and it met all of our needs There was more than enough living space inside and out-to be together and also take restful space- including a beautiful pool and a well equipped kitchen. The host and property manager were very attentive. It was fantastic!

Amazing Place

We were 3 families with 12 total. The pictures depict the property perfectly (and it is even more beautiful). We had excellent communication via “WhatsApp” prior to our arrival and during our stay. The property managers Fabricio and Tess gave us some excellent recommendations on beaches and food stops. The casita was perfect for the older teens in the group and was like their own bachelor pad. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed (including a gift of some CR coffee and hot sauce😋). The BBQ was handy for cooking meals outside. The pools area was tough to leave, but if you did, the beach was a short 5 min drive away. We had some issues with dishwasher and getting hot water to the master bedroom upstairs, but these were very minor concerns for us and we informed property managers when we were checking out. The property was 5 ⭐️ and one of the highlights of our trip

Our group just finished the best stay we’ve ever had in Samara. The house is beautiful and well equipped. We’ve stayed in Samara a number of times over the past 13 years and my wife and I agree this was the cleanest and most well equipped with a great location. Love love loved it!

December family vacation

We just returned from an amazing week here! We stayed at the house for a week-long family vacation and birthday celebration. It was a wonderful experience all around! This property and location were the perfect remote getaway with only a brief 5 minute drive to Samara beach and restaurants. Sue, Tess & Fabri were so helpful in preparing us and supporting us which made our planning and stay so smooth. Sue was wonderful in helping us with our reservations, planning, housing instructions etc. Tess outreached me with questions about our preferred sleeping arrangements and provided information about local businesses and activities. She is very patient and responsive and we are very appreciative of her! Both Tess & Fabri have local businesses too. We highly recommend surf lessons and massages through them! We are a family of 11, with 4 kids & 7 adults. There was plenty of room with the house and Casita, and we enjoyed most of our meals at the house which was so much more peaceful and fun. We enjoyed a local family style meal (delivered), fresh caught mahi (successful fishing adventure), and enjoyed the local grocery for creating other meals. We had 2 meals out in Samara- both wonderful. We spent a great deal of time in and near the pool, and there were often monkeys surrounding us in the trees. Such a unique experience for all - and our kids were beyond thrilled to see all of the wildlife (monkeys, birds, hummingbirds, etc) and trees! Casa Mesakeca is amazing!

Casa Mesakeca Is Beautiful

Our stay at Casa Mesakeca was wonderful. The house is located about a five minute drive from Samara so you fell like you’re in the middle of the jungle but close to stores, restaurants, etc. The house has high ceilings and each room has plenty of space. The kitchen was really well stocked and the appliances all were nice and functioned well. The pool is a pretty large and has nice shallow area for a baby or a toddler to play in. Lots of howler monkeys and parrots came to see us. We really enjoyed our stay!

Perfect spot in the jungle!

Fantastic home! Everything was laid out perfectly and we were comfortable. The outdoor space was our favorite as we listened to the sounds of the jungle and played in the pool. The close proximity to town made it easy for us to get groceries and meet up for excursions.
