The front desk clerk was friendly and so helpful. She helped us feel at home. The historic feel to our room was a nice change from hotel rooms. I definitely plan on coming back.

Lovely mansion, blasts of cold air, remote service

Hotel.com has inaccurate info. In-person check in is only offered 4-5 pm. We only learned by text less than 2 hours before when we were still a 3 hour plus drive away. We stayed in the "Library" -- beautiful, but they didn't leave the "secret pasage" to the toilet and sink open for us; as a result, we thought we had to use a bathroom downstairs. With no person on site, this confusion was not easily resolved. Similarly, I had to go hunting for towels to use the tub (which was not through a secret passage). The staff helpfully informed us that the boiler needed repair and there was no hot water. We accepted a 50% refund as a result. However, the mansion's HVAC blasted us with cold air every hour or so throughout the night. It blew directly to our bed creating drafts of cold air under the covers and it rattled the blinds against the window. Not a very restful night before catching a plane home in the morning. With no person on site, many problems were harder to resolve. They offer answers by text, but that's not so helpful when you need some kind of orientation to the room, like you need someone to tell you about a "secret passage" to your en suite toilet. Seems like they are cutting costs and minimizing any human element to staying here.Also only offer some "continental" breakfast like you'd find at a Econolodge. In other words, they're cutting the exact reasons why people choose to stay in a B&B. Not sure I'd stay here again.

The "Breakfast" at a bed and breakfast had mych to be desired. Everything else was wonderful, my husband and i looked forward to a breakfast that matched the "bed" part of the experience, but plastic wrapped honeybuns and granola bars were a real let down for such a fancy place. The hot tub in the room was wonderful, the theminis super fun, and everything else was very comfortable.

Not worth it!!

The epitome of false advertising! We found this place through a search for bed and breakfast in Utah. Booked it through Hotels.com. The morning of check in we get a welcome text that half way through it advises us ā€œAs a reminder If you havenā€™t seen on our website we are not doing breakfast right now but ā€¦.:ā€ What the h@&$!!! A bed and breakfast with no breakfast! Since we needed a place to stay and like the old mansions of the area we figured we go ahead and stay there. BAD DECISION!! While the house was sort of cool, we were led to an outside entrance that removed us from the possible charm of the mansion and received no ā€œtourā€ typical of other mansion B&Bs weā€™ve stayed at. The room it self was nothing spectacular, the bed was fairly comfortable. As for the location, all night long we were awakened by ambulances, fire trucks, police oh yeah itā€™s near train tracks so we got to hear the LOUD train horns through the night. SAVE YOUR MONEY and get a hotel some where else.

Not a real B&B. A sloppy place, no eye for detail

1. When booking the room on the website, it did not show that a regular breakfast was not served unless you were to scroll down- beyond the "book now" tab. I would not have booked here if I had seen that only a continental breakfast was served. Nothing but the yogurt was fresh- all pastries were cheap packaged stuff. 2. We never saw any staff- on check in or check out. 3. Jacuzzi tub did not work. 4. Bathmat hanging in bathroom was hung crooked. 5. Toilet paper roll was on backwards. 6. No cups in room/bathroom for a rinse or drink. 7. Top of baseboards were dirty. 8. Sticky tabs on wall where a sign once was. 9. Caulking around tub was gross. 10. Pillows on bed did not match- one was a king size and the other a queen size. 11. In Winter Dreams room, poster bed was nice, but not good for movie watching. TV does not pull out of wardrobe and only swivels so far. One post is in the way if you are on that side of the bed. I will never stay here again. Ambience was nice, decor was beautiful, poster bed was nice, but overall it was just a bed to sleep in and nothing more. It was not at all a bed and breakfast experience as one would expect. There was no attention to detail, just a sloppy place. Check out redriverranch.com for a classy, nice experience.
We accidently sprayed the wall when in bathtub. We dried the wall and this was dirt on baseboard in one spot

Great stay. Staff was amazing. Cookies were delicious. Itā€™s a100 yr old house so a novelty but also realize walls are thin and some may be honeymooning while others are just wanting to sleepā€¦.In our room it stated there was a shower but it actually was a fantastic bathtub with a ā€œshower nozzleā€ so I would not say it was a shower. Breakfast was a ā€œgrab and goā€ continental. Enjoyed our 2 night stay.

It was a great location. At this time they weren't serving breakfast which would explain the deep discount on the nightly room rate. Also, we never saw a single staff person, check in and check out was done automatically. The room, called the secret garden, was nice. It has a huge jetted tub in it, but no shower.
