The rooms were clean and renovated. More work needs to be done to make the property more appealing. The property was full of discarded building materials. If I was to rate the restaurant I would say poor.

We loved this little Inn. The staff were absolutely lovely. There was a little mix up when we checked in, but it was rectified quickly and appropriately. The restaurant was basic, and they were having some staffing issues while we were there… but honestly, they were so delightful and upfront about their challenges it kind of added to our stay. The property is an easy walk to fun hiking trails, and in to the port union docks, as well as a good central location for exploring the Bona Vista Peninsula. Would recomend.

An alright stay for a night.

A restaurant attached to the hotel, the staff was lovely. Super sweet and kind. Food was alright, typical pub style eats with a pretty limited menu. The rooms could definitely use a little bit of an upgrade and the yard is in need of some maintenance. Other than that not too bad of a stay.

Furnishings were very old and in need of replacement. Place was dark and not well maintained. Bath shower had mildew on bottom of door. Power outlet cover was broken (safety hazard). Parking was not properly enforced. Someone parked in our spot, front desk was closed so there was no one to complain to. We had to park across lot with several bags of luggage. Far too expensive for too little.

Things we liked: staff were friendly. The layout of the room was neat in that it separated the two beds into separate rooms and was very spacious. Things we didn’t like: items needed repair that could have been simple fixes. For example, there was a switch for the bathroom fan but it didn’t work. There were 2 sinks in the room but one of them didn’t run water (perhaps this was intentional but if this is the case, removing the sink would greatly improve the room). There was a light over the working sink but it didn’t turn on. And while I understand that certain older features like walls and furniture can give an Inn character, much of the outdated features like old carpet and broken bathroom floor grout and a bathtub with rust, felt more like lack of effort on the part of the property owners. The location and outward appeal of this Inn offers so much potential that it was a little disappointing to find the room in this condition.

A continental breakfast was provided and welcomed after multiple days of travel. Good yogurt selections, juice, coffee, tea, white or brown bread, jams. A good start to the day, The bed was comfortable and the room cosy and had everything I needed.

At first glance this is a quaint little hotel. But then the water damage to the front deck and entryway becomes quickly evident. There was a dirty washcloth hanging from the shower head. We had a long day of driving and were too exhausted to complain. The gaps at the top and bottom of the door were large ebough for light and noise to disturb sleep. There was an iron but no ironing board. Front desk staff were not trained in local activities or attractions. The restaurant was just ok. The staff were great, especially the young lady who had just started there. The continental breakfast was very limited.

Problems in the restaurant equipment so nothing hot available. The staff tried but even the toaster didn’t work well. Very far away from anything like 20 km plus to Elliston or Bonavista.
