The room smells like a combination of cigarettes, alcohol, and bad cologne. Very dated. Plastic feeling pillows. 2 laminated signs in the room saying they’re not responsible for theft for stuff left in the room. That being said, this is our first time in Port Angeles and it’s kind of a dump. I looked at the other hotels, they don’t look much better. All are 2 stars.

Convenient hotel

Hotel is close to Olympic national park and only a few minutes from downtown port Angeles where there are a lot of food options. The room was clean and beds were comfortable (awful pillows, though). The front desk staff was very short with me and rushed me at check in, and the one time I called to ask a question, they were pretty rude.

There was mold on the bathroom both in the shower and on the ceiling. There was something that had been spilled in the nightstand and it was all sticky. And the airconditioner units filters were so clogged that it would not work in the room. And it looked like the room was given the "landlord special "

Unfortunately we had to ask for everything that should have been provided each day. ie: towels, wash cloths, toilet paper, and coffee refills. The ice machine was in the office and couldn’t be accessed if you wanted to head out early on a hike. Our room was on the ground floor by the stairs and was noisy all night long.

Convenient location for excursions to Olympic National Park, mattress felt relatively new and comfortable. Room and particularly the sofa had a bit of a musty smell, I think the facility has weathered some pretty heavy usage (never before have I seen a laminated sign in a hotel room requesting that the guests use the room towels only for their intended purposes and not to dye hair, clean fish (or any other species of meat), or wash/wipe off a car/truck/motorcycle - I think the staff and facility must have been through a LOT over the years!). Staff are very helpful and friendly and I think are doing the best they can amid the challenges of maintaining an older property with a limited tourist season.
