This trip had been planned for months to celebrate a 2 year old birthday. This week the snow storm of the century was predicated. The host was uncooperative when asked if they’d consider rescheduling our dates due to travel concerns (because outside of the window for refund, which we understand and do not want the host to go without this revenue) & they said we should use our travel insurance if we didn’t want to come. This is not typically something covered by travel insurance. Weather and unsafe road conditions. Only natural disasters and travel cancellations by airlines, etc.The cabin sleeps 16 which was nice. But was not stocked for 16. Only 1 dish towel, no doh clothes. Very minimal kitchen supplies for cooking. It was not easy to prepare meals for 3 families in this small kitchen. (1 mixing bowl, no casserole or baking dishes, no baking sheets. The cabin has parking for 2 vehicles only. But sleeps 16. So I suggest renting a 15 passenger van to park there. If you ask about over flow parking, you will be told “Kroger 1 mile away, thanks for your understanding”Water pressure was awful. The upstairs showers are basically a trickle. The cabin is worn. The rugs are old and worn. The comforters on the bed are old and with fuzzy finishes that are very balled up and worn out. There are scruffs and smears on the walls and baseboards. So a good face lift would be nice. The beds were comfortable and there plenty of places for us to sleep.
