This property wasn’t exactly what we expected. We feel it’s important for others to be aware Pros: * property is beach front - the pool deck connected directly to the beachfront. It’s cool to watch the tide come and go twice a day * DIY laundry available which was nice * nice view of sunsets from the room balcony. Cons: * the room had a nasty/musty smell. It was terrible going into the room each day * construction on BOTH sides of the resort until late in the evening that was very noisy. Looks like it will be going on for a long time as resort next store just started construction. * pool was quite small * restaurant open only until 4:30. No other dining options unless we walked far down the beach. And even then, very limited options in this area. * pics are made out to look a lot nicer but rooms are old and outdated

For the $44 price, I got a one bedroom apartment and loved it. The free breakfast was great, the staff was amazing and the beach view by breakfast was insane. It’s not completely modern but it’s great! Def worth it

We stayed at the one bedroom room and the sea views were breathtaking. The area is super quiet which i loved it as we did a day trips to the busy areas like patong and karon which is just about 30 min ride motorbike, and went back to our super quiet area :) There are currently construction around the area, probably building more resorts but it didn't bothered us at all, Not noise from our beatiful room. Staff super friendly. Overall everything clean and a great selection at the breakfast buffet. Laundry room available if you need washing and drying your clothes for 200 bht including softener and detergent( provided at reception) They also provide water daily at the room when we requested the room service We really enjoyed our stay at by the sea, thank you team!!

The hotel room was quite nice and clean and had great air conditioning, as well as shampoo/conditioner/gel, and the staff was good. This made for a great few days of get-out-of-town relaxation. However, be advised: there is little to do within walking distance, swimming is highly tide-dependent due to rocks, and the area is rather well-populated with Russians. I’m glad I stayed here for a few days away from adventuring, but 5 was too many.

Staff was very lovely. The garden was really convenient to be able to touch some grass. The ocean view with the mountain back drops were gorgeous. Epic sunsets when the sky is clear. Hotel accomodations were excellent. The locals in the town were smiley and friendly. I enjoyed my stay and I had a pleasure meeting guests from around the world.

Overall was satisfactory. In a seclude part of Phuket, good for spending times with loves one or family. the Wifi is very slow and distorted, so this keep you away from your phone on device, instead focusing on total relaxation.

Fun in the sun

We have just returned from anther fantastic holiday at By The Sea. This is the 5th time we have stayed there and will be booking again next year. I would like to thank Suwaree and her team for going out of their way to make our holiday most enjoyable. No request was too much effort. The rooms are fantastic. We were a party of 5 (My Mom, my wife, and 2 children aged 7 and 10) and we fitted comfortably into 1 suite. This hotel is perfect for young families and couples looking for a relaxing holiday away from the hubbub of Patong. The hotel is isolated so if you are looking for night life this is possibly not for you. There is however a daily bus that will take you into Phuket Town should you want to do any shopping. There is also a 7/11 and Family Mart within walking distance should you need any supplies. The hotel backs right onto beach with restaurants within walking distance. I have 2 minor requests 1) more chairs around pool and 2) a microwave in the rooms. Thanks again Suwaree for a fantastic holiday.

A quite place to stay

The room is spacious and tidy. I love the bag (with two towels and a beach mat) they provide for going to the beach, which is very considerate. The view is also excellent especially for the sunset. Since the rocks are quite sharp underneath the water, we only do canoeing (the resort also provides it for free!!!). You can have food and self laundry services (another thing I really love since the washing machine also dries the clothes, it’s so much convenient) at a cheap price.

The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We were late in coming back from our half day tour and late for our checkout, but the staff were understanding and accommodating. We found our suite comfortable. However, the toilet in our room was broken and leaking and could not be resolved during our stay. The WiFi was also weak on the premises. That said, this is a great resort if you want a quiet and restful weekend.

On the first day when we arrive this hotel, I ask for one if the staff that I just want to stay for 1 day. Then she said cannot and explain that i must stay for 2 days. Then I said it’s okay. So we checked out on 3rd January and this happened. Its the staff fault that she mistaken and spoke. Its her responsibility. She need to take the responsibility of her own. Then she calls patrol police. But the patrol police can’t speak english so that now we are going to Tourist police now. I would like to report to this hotel. This disturbs us and make us canceled to our tour sightseeing and we even booked for another hotel. We are leaving at 6th of January to our current Country. Please help report.

Had an unfortunate experience at By The Sea. It did not help that it rained/thunderstormed throughout our entire stay, so we were confined to the hotel grounds, except during daily excursions to the Central Festival mall (very nice mall). Hotel provides free daily shuttle service: drop off at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm, pick up at 2:00 pm and 4:30 pm. Our room had a leaky window that was never fixed, although they tried, they did offer to change our room but there was no point as it was our check out day when they offered. We wanted to take the free shuttle to the Festival Central on check out day at 10:00 AM (to save some money on the very expensive taxi fare) and we were the FIRST to sign up for that particular shuttle. BUT when it came time to board the shuttle the normal 15 person van was unavailable so one of the staff drove a small 6 person SUV and for some reason we were not included in the car, so we were forced to either wait for the car to come back for a second round or call a taxi (as we had a flight to catch, we were forced to call a Taxi) Taxi service is very expensive in this area as the hotel is very far away from everything on the island (the free hotel shuttle to the mall itself took about 30 min). I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Oh and to top it all off, the beach area is covered in trash! Very disappointing :( The only positive things I can say is one of the staff, Pat, was very nice, and hotel staff keeps the hotel clean especially the pool area.

Truly By the Sea

We wanted to stay somewhere that was quiet, off the tourist route and in walking distance of the sea. We were delighted to find ‘By the Sea’ covered our criteria. The hotel is in need of refurbishment but it is still comfortable, the rooms are large with good sea views. The hotel is tiered, there are 60 steps to get to the top tier, the steps are swallow and manageable even for retirees. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The beach has plenty of shade but you can only go swimming in high tide because of the rocky sea bed. The restaurant food was good and @the beach restaurant and bar is a good cheap alternative.

Lovely hotel next to a beautiful beach

Great location for a quiet beach holiday. On arrival we were upgraded to a family room which was clean and very big. Two large bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, living room, two large bathrooms (both had showers one also a bonus bath) and a large garden balcony overlooking the sea. The rooms were in good repair and clean. The negatives were a hard bed and the front door did not close properly. It would close with a firm slam but the maid never did this and we came back to the door being open everyday. The location is exactly what we wanted, a lovely quiet Thailand beach with clear sea and Palm trees. There are a couple of beach bars a short walk up the beach which provide reasonably priced food and drinks. The food was delicious. We only ate breakfast at the hotel which was okay but not great, I cannot comment on the restaurant or the room service. The negative for facilities was that the hotel could not provide sun beds on the beach and you had to make do with a mat and towels. I would certainly stay here again as the positives far exceed the negatives.

Comfortable hotel for short stays.

This is a comfortable hotel away from the busy areas in Phuket. A good place to relax. Clean, spacious rooms and nice restaurant pool area.
