Stayed 6 days on a business trip. Very friendly staff who continuously sought out ways to be helpful. Delicious food with wonderful presentation. Great sunset and sunrise views from stylish accommodations. Took a long boat ride from the beach out to a great snorkeling site.

My husband and I stayed in the Ocean Pool Villa for three nights. From the arrival to leaving everything was just wonderful. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We had one minor issue, but they solved it immediately and in a very professional manner. We loved the breaktfast in the Retreat restaurant and the cocktails on the roof terrace of The Grill. The view is just beautiful. Our villa was a dream and we enjoyed the private pool and hanging out on our terrace. I definitely want to come back. the relaxatoin starts the moment you enter the Amataro Resort.

My husband and I stayed in the Deluxe Pool Villa (with pavillion) for 3 nights and it was simply amazing. The staff were very friendly, helpful and professional, even remembering our names as we met around the hotel. The villa itself was all-round luxury quality, and the view from our room's balcony & pavilion was stunning - an entire cliff-view of the sea and private beach below. The first thing we noticed was the attention to detail in the resort's decor and finishings within the resort - beautiful, spacious, minimalistic yet modern with clean whites and neutrals, which put me in a calm mood throughout my entire stay. We were impressed over and over by everything - from the service, amenities, overall ambience, and the food. We had moved to the Amatara after stayin at another hotel a few nights, and one thing we immediately noticed was that you were made to feel very special as guests at the Amatara. Whatever we ate on resort was exquisite, with natural & healthy ingredients and options. The spa menu was impressive, to say the least. My husband and I were thoroughly impressed with our experience here and wished our stay was longer! Would definitely go back. Highly recommend for those who really needs a pampering, therapeutic recovery getaway from the busy working life.

I spent 5 days in a villa pool and i had a great time! Amazing spa services and extra facilities. The staff is very nice and friendly Great food in the restaurant Amazing pool ;-) Pascale from Paris ;-)

Stayed 5 days in the Pool Villa (65) and my experiences was generally pleasant. Staffs were friendly, nearby is the Cape Panwa lookout point with great view of sunset. Breakfast and Private Pool are good. Good thing that resort provide complimentary transport to Century Festival Phuket with more food choices and massages (alot cheaper than resort, I will review it separately) in comfort of aircon. Enjoyed the gym and the table tennis too. If you exercise in the evening you might see a beautiful pink view of the sea... Ipad was good for us to research nearby places. As this resort is far from Patong, you need to take taxi which cost 800 bhat OR be like me use Grab (very safe and convenient) Taxi service which cost around 450Bhat depending on traffic conditions. There are some areas of improvement required to achieve excellentl satisfaction. 1. The shade at the balcony glass door was not working/missing and the morning sun strong rays shoots into the room facing our heads were not very pleasant. 2. The water bottles in the room were complimentary but if we transferred it into the fridge, resort charges. It is ridiculous. Do have a different label so that customer and your staff can differentiate and not charge it. 3. Water heater took awhile to be heated. This would need to be improved. 4. improve the sound proofing of windows and entire room. The Pool Villa was right next to a small falling water pond and lots of trees, it was VERY NOISY throughout the night with the toads and cricket making their noise and it was very loud. 5. I found cockroaches in the curtain shades at the patio when i wanted to have shades from sun. Do make sure to clean it more often. 6. More mosquitoes repellent 7. if you want to provide coffee machine, and want to charge for fresh milk, do provide free milk powder then.

Luxury Trips by Bea stayed here for several nights in April 2017 and had a phenomenal experience. When you hop out of your taxi, you enter through the most beautifully styled Thai building, the reception area overlooks the infinity pool (as pictured). The staff are super warm and welcoming providing fresh juice on arrival. The rooms are spacious, cleaned every day and generally up to a high standard. The food in the resort is delicious whether you eat by the pool, in the restaurant or even at the retreat. Breakfast has a huge amount of choice (the eggs are to die for - super buttery). The resort is situated in stunning grounds and you rarely overlook any where that is not the resort. The spa (and body-wrap) is a perfect end to a trip here. Luxury Trips by Bea will return here and certainly recommend clients here in the future.

The location is just WOW especially when sipping cocktails from the rooftop Grill Lounge Bar at sunset. We booked an Ocean Cape room and the views were beautiful albeit obstructed by palm trees - not sure if this was particular just to our room which was 176. Notwithstanding this little gripe the rooms are very large with a great layout and if you like really, really, really extra firm beds with no give then this is the resort for you. Also for some reason most of the powerpoints, including the large power board didn't work, we asked twice for the them to be fixed but somehow this never happened so we just gave up and charged the various devices on a rotational shift basis. Infinity pool is just amazing and plenty of loungers with very attentive staff always ready to fail your glass with chilled water or take your order. Food overall was excellent with the Grill being an absolute standout - the lobster risotto was one of the best I have ever had and in fact all the food was really exceptional. It's a fine dining experience and the food is so good we ate there more than once - honestly worth ever cent. Also the Thai food at The Restaurant was excellent also. Across the resort we found all staff to be attentive and always willing to help. Two suggested areas of improvement for management. a) it would be really nice if you could provide towels and water at the tennis court. This is pretty standard at resorts these days so we were surprised this wasn't provided. And finally management, we implore you to fix the breakfast buffet. The egg station chef made an excellent omelette but honestly the rest of the buffet is not great, I ordered two poached eggs they weren't cooked fresh but rather were rubber and obviously had been prepared earlier and must have been sitting in a warmer, soggy waffles and the tea (although claiming to be English Breakfast) definitely was not. All in all though a great mini-break.

Pros: the food is great, the swimming pool is very good. The room was also very spacious and charming. Cons: the beach is not good, and the hotel is far from the airport. It also lacks the charm we saw in other hotels in Thailand. Overall, very pleasant experience.

Staffs are friendly and amenities of resort are good but it has has.quite a gap to fill to be truly a luxury resort. The villa has everything except a few misses that makes it feel 4.5 stars resort. 1. Location is remote. It takes you at least 15mins to walk out of the resort from lobby. They dont always have buggy to give you a right out. 2. Windows in villas are not sound proof. All the night crawlies make alot of noise. I am a light sleeper and it kept me awake. 3. Window shade not fixed for all side of the villa. This is very weird / bad design. The villa faces east yet the balcony glass door does not have shade. It does not allow us to sleep longer. 4. Ad the resort is surrounded by nature, there are alot of mossie... the resort should do more to repell mossies

Overall good experience. The resort is located 1 hour from Phuket Airport which you don't even realize the drive if you organize the hotel transfer as they hook you up with movies and drinks. The resort location is outside the hustle and bustle of the city at the bottom of Thailand and so its a little quiet of an area itself with limited local shops/restaurants etc. The resort itself is nice and is a typical resort with an awesome pool and view of the ocean (ships as its close to the port). Food was AMAZING especially the Grill restaurant - highly highly recommend. Spa was also good, but a little overpriced. My biggest challenge is they don't have twin beds at all its all Kings. Also, you are definitely one with nature so get that mosquito repellant ready.
