Overall, we had a pretty good stay here. The biggest positives were the location, safety of the area, and overall value for the price. It was very conveniently located to everything in Pawly's: shops, beaches, and restaurants. Most of the amenities were stocked, and it was nice that the hosts provided plenty of beach gear for guests to use, even though we personally didn’t end up needing it.That said, the property does show signs of wear and deferred maintenance. The most concerning issue was the carpet in the living room coming loose and exposing the tack strip underneath, which made walking barefoot dangerous and potentially unsafe. The furnishings, linens, cookware, and other household items were all very budget-level quality — functional, but clearly selected with cost minimization in mind rather than comfort or durability. It was definitely a high volume full-time rental property not a personally cared-for vacation home.The surrounding neighboring properties were also a little rough around the edges, with cluttered yards and chickens roaming nearby, though we never felt unsafe.Overall, if your priorities are location, affordability, and having the basics covered, this place does the job well.
