Our group of 7 (4 adults, 3 kids) had a great time, and would stay again (which is what gets this house 5 stars). A few minor issues noted below.
Pros:
1) great location - 5 mins walk to base and 10-20 mins walk to town (depending on which end of Main St)
2) the host, Guy, was helpful and responsive. When we were considering the house, he even went over to measure the bunk for us (more on that below)
3) beds were comfortable, rooms got dark enough, and we slept well
4) the downstairs gear/game room off the garage was very handy
5) we used the hot tub several times with no issues (as noted in other review)
6) decent-sized dining table that seats 8 (it's frustrating when big houses have tiny tables... are people supposed to eat standing up?)
7) great fireplace - we used it every morning and evening
8) laundry room, which we used
Cons:
1) kitchen is just ok - there were enough plates/pots/etc. to make it work but not much more than that. There was also no exhaust fan over the gas range... just a decorative hood with a light! We were afraid our bacon and eggs would set off the smoke alarms, but not to worry because...
2) the smoke alarms were unplugged and sitting on the counter (guess this was after the other guest heard them chirping!)
3) the third bedroom has a bunk bed with a trundle. The upper bunk and trundle are fine, but the lower bunk has only 19" of clearance from mattress to upper bunk (normal is 30"+). Our nine-year-old thought it was fine, but it would not work for most people.
4) we had to hunt around to find the WiFi password and house info (on a small tablet tucked away under the cabinets)
5) check-in was confusing as we only received a garage code. We figured that was it, but there is also a code to access the house, which we didn't receive. Thankfully, Guy called us right back and gave us a temporary code after the first code didn't work. All was good until three days later when our temporary code stopped working. Again, Guy was right on it and gave us another code (the one that didn't work initially). No harm, no foul, but we mention it because getting into the house is pretty important!
