Hotel was closed!!

****Travelocity booked me in a Hotel that had been closed two weeks prior to my making reservations. When I called them I was on hold for minimum of 30 minutes each time and had to make 6 calls to get my money back. They were telling me it was non refundable and I asked them how they could book me to a Hotel which was closed. I got yo the Hotel it was pouring rain then I had to hire a Taxi and fin=d a last minute hotel which cost me twice as much along with the additional taxi fares driving around wasting my time finding a new Hotel then they used up all the international minutes on my phone because they put you on hold then disconnect you. I would never book with them (Travelocity) again!!!!****

The hotel was shut down by the gov't during stay

booked 3 nights. No paper, No towel. Went for dinner and when I came back, there were gov't officials asking people to leave the hotel, said the hotel is being shut down. No electricity, no light... have to walk 17 floors up to get my luggage and walk back down 17 floors in the dark. I checked in Continental hotel for the next 2 nights. when i return home, Veneto refused to refund the 2 nights I didn't stay. They were contacted by expedia by email. Will never go back to Veneto hotel. they should be shut down forever, and expedia should dump them if they ever open again.

EXTRA CHARGES ON EVERY STEP

Extra $40 charge for guest while king suite was booked and paid for 2. Used to be good place to stay. I will never stay here again.

This is a very nice Hotel ,it is close to everything. And for single guys , there are plenty of beautiful women iin the Hotel or outside on the streets.

Nice Hotel for Gentlemen traveling alone

Entire Hotel smells musty. Carpets need to be replaced. The Shower did not have warm water. The girls at the Casino are quite beautiful and friendly.

Panamá trip

Up on arriving no eletric w that no air conditioned front desk informed us the dints know the time line the we’re w out air conditioning for 3 days and operating with 25% of electricity an emergency status for the whole hotel casino bars restaurants everything was dark or closed front desk ( carin) said if not comfort call Exspedia for refund so we did and now the hotel don’t want to refund the money

After staying there several times previously, this time was the absolute worst. No A/C and No Hot Water for four 85 degree days was ridiculous. I also took two others that had never been and this was their first experience and impression. Very Dissappointing and Embarrasing!

the room had problems... air conditioner wall control was not working.... hot water was no where in sight... maid service is very good but they wake you up if you sleep in to ask what time can the room be cleaned.. spa was closed.... still charged the same room rent

Very safe with 24 hour police. In the heart of the city, with Manolos across the street. (One of the best restaurants in the city). Minimum on the gambling was a bit high, so I found myself not gambling there as much as I wanted to. Over all good stay. Would stay there again

Great nite life

The reason I like this hotel is the nitelife. It is a great location to hit the other Panama City spots. Carnival was a great time. And the staff is excellent and will help you get anywhere you need to go. Front desk helped me immensely multiple times. Security also there constantly to help and keep everyone safe. Room service and housekeeping also surprised me with extras without having to ask. Thank you!

Hot doings in Panama

Like other reviews of the Veneto Hotel the place needs a paint job on the outside but inside it's not bad. Service was good, room was clean,the air conditioner was very good, the free breakfast was also very good and the women were excellent, they only operated out of the casino area.

The worst part was the shower had very little water, I called the front desk twice a day for three days every time they said they would send someone up it never happened, I had to wash in the sink. I had to use the same towels that came with room because housekeeping never left clean towels, the housekeeper said the towels were deliveredat one p.m. but never were.

Horrible and scam

Horrible, I've stayed in hotels around the world and this one of the worst is experience and would give it -10 if possible. The gentle man before me at check in was disabled and needed a room with ADA access of corse they didn't have one. I waited on line for 40 min just to check in and had to ask for them to return my passport. When i got to the room it wasn't cleaned, i had to go down to the reception because the phone didn't work, they said we'll have some one come clean the room and 20 min after i unpacked they said i was in the wrong room. There was only one large towel and on floor towel, the 2nd day i had to bribe the cleaning lady for one clean towel. The room itself isn't horrible apart from the fact that the water is ice COLD in the shower and vanity, the 1 sq. ft refrigerator didn't work. Only 2 of the three elevators worked and i seen my self waiting 5-10 min for one. The out door pool was nice when i got there but no towels. The casino charges 15% of ever dollar that you redeem whether you won or just cashed some cash what a ripoff. I found a friend that i wanted to bring back to my room for a drink, I was informed that i have to register them, they charge $42 even tho i booked double occupancy, once more another scam. Over all this was an unforgettable experience that i hope you'll never witness.

WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN

Booked Luxury suite , NO TOWELS, NO SHAMPOO, FEMALE GUEST WILL COST ADDITIONAL $42 . This property has lost most of the business including many girls who used to hang around the casino area. Because hotel charge then $15 cover to come in. It looks empty now. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. Mr. Logon (Manager) was very nice. But Housekeeping is TERRIBLE. Will not stay here again
