My second stay. In a great location. Limited parking behind hotel offsite parking available but it rained all four days and walking a few blocks to the car was inconvenient. Breakfast was average. Biggest issue is space planning in the bathroom. We had a king size room. The sink takes up the entire counter. No place to set anything other than the top of the toilet. Evidently some rooms have a glass shelf which would have been nice.

I loved that we could store our bikes inside as we were doing the Simcoe County Loop Trail. It was convenient to waterfront and to restaurants and the downtown.

Comfortable hotel; bad parking

Very nice hotel but access to entrance is up 8 stairs and down a hall from parking lot behind hotel. Front entrance is on street and a longish walk from parking lot. Not many shops nearby. Great restaurant behind hotel!

Baylee at check-in was great, however the night staff at the desk (a male) on Saturday September 13th, 2025 was not very accommodating, he saw 6-very well dressed adults waiting for their ride to leave the hotel and kept telling us we couldn’t stay in the lounge to Finish our cocktails, we were not loud. He didn’t know how to read a room. He asked to leave we said ok, one of us were adjusting our shoes and couldn’t leave immediately he came over after one minute again. And said you guys must leave. We felt very unwanted. We will not be back and we are the 6-group of people that influence stays at different locations. First time staying at your hotel not a very good first impression..

The hotel was kept nice and clean but the best part was its location, a few minute walk from everything you could possibly need and an even shorter walk from the waterfront.

The hotel is very well situated downtown near the lake and parcs. lots of convenience very close,grocery, pharmacy, wide variety of restaurants, nice boutiques. The breakfast area and facility are ample. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Not much parking behind the hotel but they offer free parking at a block away

Location is great, bed comfortable, staff helpful. Exterior of building and surrounding property was extremely dirty, outside windows very unsightly, mentioned it to staff. Exterior is extremely unkept, Orillia has a serious problem with homelessness. Parking lot is ridiculous, with no clear signage indicating where else someone should park. Breakfast seemed very cheap and not appealing.

Très déçue

J’avais réservé 2 chambres identiques ; ma chambre était différente : petite et très exiguë, difficile d’ouvrir nos valises, passage trop étroit entre le lit et la tv, petite fenêtre donnant sur un coins de mur sale… accueil médiocre quant à ma demande de changement et couloirs encombrés de chariots d’entretien. Bref, très déçue pour le prix.

When i called to book the reservation, i was told they have a shuttle to the casino. They do not. I brought it up to mgmt and their reply was " well thats what the booking agents say, but we haven't had it since covid" i said you should correct it and i received nonchalance. Also, the walls around the sink in the bathroom have not been cleaned in a very long time. There are toothpaste splatters everywhere. Again i brought this up. I received a nice smile and sorry. Not, We'll definitely look into this, just sorry. Gone are the days when anyone really cares.

Fantastic place!

We were at the hotel two nights and loved it. There were two beds in our room and it was perfect because one was fairly firm which my husband loved and mine was a soft piece of heaven. The girls at the front desk were super friendly. The hotel is also in a fantastic location, right in the heart of Orillia just across from the street where all the restaurants and cafes are. I highly recommend the Champlain Waterfront Hotel!

While the property location, overall vwas good. The room i stayed in felt pinched. Windows faced a a brick wall no view. Room appeared to be not upkept. Egg carton in the fridge with eggs. No milk (powfer/liquid) for coffee. Carpet looked warned/aged. Shower stall was grimy, stall floor and glass doors.

The hotel is ok but I am not sure that we would stay again. Location is excellent. No hooks for towels anywhere in the bathroom, so that was just inconvenient when using the shower. Breakfast was ok but a bit basic. We booked this hotel due to its location and the fact that it had parking included. The parking included is completely misleading. There is onsite parking, if you can get a space. If you can’t there is overflow lot a short walk away. Night one there were no spots so they gave us a parking pass for the overflow car park. Night two, no parking spots and the overflow parking pass would not work, back to the hotel to get another pass, back to the overflow and the pass would not work. They didn’t seem to care much about that. We figured our own parking out. Very disappointing service.
