The Craftsman Inn & Suites
4/5 Good
"We did a family stay at Craftsman with two rooms. It's a quaint hotel, but issues were: paper thin walls, and a musty smelling bathroom in one of our rooms. The staff was cheerful. They told some noisy people in the next room to keep quiet and sprayed something to address the musty smell. They also fetched clean towels one night because house keeping doesn't come daily. Curiously, though, when I asked one clerk for the history of the hotel name "Craftsman", she had no idea. It would help marketing of the hotel for staff to know that. On the positive side for Craftsman: First, there were about ten big rocking chairs on the porch out front. Even though the porch faced the hotel parking lot, I sat out there every night to make phone calls and it grew on me. Another positive is that there is a big shopping center across the street with a Target, Tops grocery (like Kroger) and a bunch of other shops and restaurants. I walked or drove over there several times to pick things up during our stay, including sushi for dinner one night."
