A large hotel with a ton of guests. Great hotel and great staff. Only feedback would be for the hotel to create more dinner and breakfast “start times” to avoid the massive rushes in the dining area that created a feeding frenzy with some disgruntled people. Seemed unlike most Japanese experiences.

Very nice accommodations and very good value. The rooms are in need of a refresh, but extremely functional. Our only improvement would be the food variety. We stayed for one week, which is probably unusual for most guests so we tired of the same food day after day. There is great variety, but the same ever day. As an example, for fruit it's apple, banana and pineapples every breakfast varying with other fruits every other day would be a welcome change. Same with eggs, bread selections.

Staff was amazing but compared to other Mercure hotels this one is very outdated (a lot of furniture was outside so they may be renovating) but wallpaper was peeling, there were marks on the walls and carpet where paintings/furniture used to be) and the beds we had were hard as rocks. As were the pillows. That said the staff and food were exceptional

Grand property, breakfast included was a total delight!!! The variety and quality were outstanding. Convienient location if you have a car. A little harder if you don’t as shopping was a short walk. We stayed in a traditional futon room and found the futon mattresses on the floor a little uncomfortable. Overall a great place to stay. Very busy.

Hotel is far away from the city centre but there is a complimentary shuttle bus to the station.Only one staff member was professional and kind to help at any time her name is Tomom Nagasava. Breakfast and dinner were the same but tasty . The onsen on the 3rd floor was clean.

Room was spacious and clean however the location is not convenient if you don’t have a car as it’s around 20mins from Nagano station. The hotel runs a free shuttle bus to the station which is good but the bus only runs about every 1.5h.
