Outside of the abundance of ladybugs (which struck me as being odd since it was winter) and crater in the bed, it was great. Staff immediately texted as soon as I booked the room and also laid out detailed instructions for checking in.

The location was very good. It was just opposite to lake. The lake view can be enjoyed from room or hotel lobby. The room given to me was having all modern amenities along with kitchenette. Overall it was a amazing stay at the hotel.

Un accueil très chaleureux, nous sommes arrivés après l'heure de check-in et un petit mot nous attendait sur la porte avec les clés. Le logement était parfait : une cuisine, une salle de bain, une chambre et un salon. Le lit double du salon était un peu petit mais très confortable. L'emplacement de cette maison est paradisiaque : en face du lac, proche d'une forêt. Le petit déjeuné le matin est très satisfaisant. L'hôte est très aimable et nous a conseillé quelques visites. Notre seul regret est d'y n'être resté qu'une seule nuit ! Je recommande fortement !

It is a quirky, nostalgic, pleasant and peaceful inn that offers a feeling of “bygone summer lake days”. It may not be for everyone, but some of us are explorers, romantics, and quiet souls! I like knocking around the kitchen to make my own coffee at sunrise!

Host JP is a true Northeast Kingdom character and his in is, as he'll tell you,"Just like Grandma's house only Grandma isn't home"! The Inn is chockablock with curated antiques of which you'll wish you owned at least three. JP welcomes guests to store food in the fridge, cook and share meals and make their own outdoor fires in a large fire pit. He is almost instantly available should you need his help day or night. And the lake! The Wisconsin Ice carved Seymore, Willoughby, Island Pond, Crystal and Salem lakes giving this area deep clean cold water, loons, eagles, amazing open water distance swims and extraordinary beauty.
