This place is COOL. We really appreciated the uniqueness of the property (fresh eggs in the morning--who can beat that?) When we did meet with the property manager, he seemed great.
We had a damper on our experience when the AC unit went out. It was really hot and I was actually quite worried about some of my students who were in lofted beds on the second floor. This might have been fine, but everyone who managed the property seemed to be traveling/far away, so we weren't able to get the situation fixed until the day before we left (so AC was out for the majority of the time). We had some students who slept out on the floor in the kitchen instead of in beds, because it just wasn't feasible to sleep upstairs. We also had a slight problem with water leaking into the kitchen from the use of the upstairs shower, but that was rectified easily enough.
Ultimately, I really wanted to leave a glowing review. It's a cool property with a lot of amazing features. The manager did eventually offer us a discounted stay on a future visit, which I appreciated. However, as this was a school-funded trip, it doesn't really apply to our context, as we likely won't be traveling to Florida in the near future.
Check it out. Appreciate it for the cool yoga space and live chickens. Understand that it may be a bit tough to fix issues if they arise, but if you're down with a more lazze-faire approach, you'll like this place.
