Diplomat hotel is super nice, ocean front and multiple restaurants makes you not want to go anywhere else.
We have been going here for years. One star deduction because half of the lagoon pool was closed for a private event. Not a problem unless there's no advance notice or signs posted. We were all settled in and notified at 1:55 that the area would be closed at 2 and to take our time moving to a different area and thanks for being understanding.
Place itself was excellent. The $66 a day (valet) or $58 a day self parking plus daily resort fee of $45? You got what you paid for...the valet employees were excellent and you get bike rental and paddleboarding plus other things for the daily resort fee. Would definitely stay there again with pools and beach and boardwalk all there. The airport is only 25 minutes away. So next time will not rent a car and use Uber/Lyft and save some money.
Check In took foreverrr and then room wasn’t ready on time, then the keys didn’t work - finally got to the beach at 6pm, bummed a little late… otherwise place is great! Playa cafe is delicious.
The location is superb. The ability to just walk onto the beach and relax is all one could ask for.

Beautiful location on the beach and the property was nice overall. Downside is that they nickel and dime you for everything and prices for food and drinks are obnoxious. Water was $9 and was surprised with a $50 bill for 2 basic drinks at the bar. I would say bring your own food and drinks but they do their best to stop that as well.
Had a wonderful time, beautiful hotel. Everyone friendly, only thing bar drinks arw WAY TOO expensive, and you get charged gratuity for every order
Truly a wonderful stay, absolutely beautiful hotel and beach. Every single staff member was beyond polite and a genuine pleasure to interact with. The food and drinks here were phenomenal as well. The lobby and pools were immaculate with staff stationed at every corner in case any need arises. Me and my family loved our stay and highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a stress-free beautiful stay on Hollywood beach.
