Rain rain go away!

Excellent location and lodging. Three life-long friends very comfortable in the house. Fully equipped. Kept us dry during 4 out of 5 days rain! Would be happy to book again.

Great stay for weekend getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Firefly Hideaway home. The home was very clean, well kept, and even more beautiful than the photos. The location was perfect, not too far back into the resort. The home is well appointed with many conveniences for families to be comfortable. The hosts thought of just about everything from towels to games to coffee. Our family would definitely stay again. Highly recommend.

Awesome!

Only downside….my kids didn’t want to leave the place! It’s great, easy, and just all around a wonderful place to stay. The boys loved the room with the 4 beds, and we were really comfortable with the 6 of us. We will be back.

Easter Family Gathering

Our family traveled to Virginia from NY and PA to spend Easter weekend with our daughter who attends JMU. It was a short drive to visit campus and enjoy our favorite restaurants in Harrisonburg. Firefly Hideaway was very welcoming and provided a comfortable, spacious living area for us to spend time together without feeling like we were on to of each other. During our stay we enjoyed the extensive library, video games and outdoor games on the decks. The kitchen was well stocked and made cooking Easter brunch and dinner a breeze. I appreciated the communication with Marshal, the owner. He provided us with all the the information we needed prior to our arrival and was easily reached and responsive during our stay. We enjoyed our stay at Firefly Hideaway and would recommend to anyone that was looking for a getaway. The area offers many activities, but the property itself has plenty to offer if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation.

Cozy Firefly Getaway

My family of 8 enjoyed the cozy comforts of this home. I liked the necessities - seasonings, good cook and tableware. I also liked the controlled thermostats in every room. Thanksgiving dinner was deliciously prepared and felt like a home away from home. Marshall quickly responded to my concerns. This was a week of total fun and the fire pit area was an added touch of wow. The bedding was hotel luxury quality as well as the linens and towels. The $400 security deposit detail should be displayed in the price breakdown/listing. We were minutes away from activities and dining.

Lovely house in the mountains

We enjoyed our time at the house. It was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. We were there for JMU football and it was an easy ride back and forth into Harrisonburg. We enjoyed the mountain views and a hike along the ridge. Would like to come for longer next time to enjoy all that massanutten has to offer. Check in/out was very easy and Marshall was very responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay here again!

Nestled in Nature!

My husband and I had never been to Massanutten before. We specifically chose Firefly Hideaway because it backed up to a national forest and had a more secluded backyard. Sitting in the firepit area was very relaxing...just drinking in the nature around us. AND...the full moon shone through the floor to ceiling living room window last night and was just glorious! Marshall was very good at communicating and answering my questions as we chose our vrbo, and we enjoyed our stay at their lovely cabin in the woods!

Firefly Hideaway

We were completely satisfied with this rental. The home is tastefully decorated and very clean. Everything is at your finger tips in this "home away from home". The homeowner was super responsive and gave us some great information about the area that made our stay even more enjoyable. We hope to rent again next year!

Wonderful retreat and experience

Marshall's property is top-notch. You can tell they are fantastic property owners. The house was incredibly well furnished, with comfortable furniture, kitchen items, plenty of seating, and small comforting touches like books (including children's books), games, and smart TVs. The property was immaculate and we enjoyed every bit of it including the front and back deck with the oversized connect four set, fire pit, and cute walkways through the woods. Marshall was a fantastic host. We were in a bind and immediately needed accommodating. He was able to accommodate us within 30 mins. He provided calm, professionalism, and hospitality in our time of need. Our trip was going to be a very big letdown until he came to the rescue. Thank you, Marshall, and the VRBO staff.

Family Get a Way
