Fabulous vacation home in Marathon! Check in was easy, the host was extremely responsive, house was clean with a well stocked kitchen. A short walk to the beach with a clean pool and a great dock for fishing (even has a green light). We would stay here again!

This vacation rental was absolutely amazing! It was the perfect place for our family to spend Christmas in Marathon, Florida. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and had great amenities that made our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Everything we needed was provided, which made relaxing and spending quality time together effortless.The host was wonderful—very responsive and thoughtful—and offered great local suggestions that truly enhanced our experience, from places to eat to things to do in the area. This home exceeded our expectations, and we are so grateful for the beautiful holiday memories we made here. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic, family-friendly vacation spot.

Marathon spring break

Great VRBO experience. House was clean and well stocked. Pool and dock were perfect for what we needed. Loved the location near to sombrero beach and short ride to the mouth of sisters creek. Will be a go to house for us in future trips to keys.

Great location

Very nice house and big enough for the two families to stay. Close to Sombrero Beach. Location was perfect. A few minor issues were handled quickly by Julie. I appreciate her responsiveness.

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Slam! The location was amazing- we were able to walk to the beach daily. The elevator was super helpful for groceries and luggage! We loved the view from the decks and the pool (we paid extra to have the pool heated which was well worth it!) We were a very short drive from Publix, Winn Dixie, and the giant surf store (definitely a must-see). Sombrero Beach was lovely! We only had 6 people staying at Grand Slam, but we were part of a group of 26 and everyone else’s houses were within a 2 minute walk from Grand Slam so it was very accessible! We didn’t use the kitchen much (we mostly cooked at the other houses) but it was beautiful and well-stocked! We would definitely stay here again and I highly reccomend this house! The host, Julie, was very easy to communicate with- and very helpful with answering all my questions quickly! :)

Beautiful Home in Walking Distance to Sombrero Beach!

Our group was five couples and we each had our own room and bathroom. The kitchen, dining and living area, the large porch on the second floor, and the pool accommodated us well. The beach was a 9-10 minute walk.

Amazing

The house was amazing! Short walk to the beach. Kitchen was well stocked compared to most places we’ve stayed. Getting the kayaks and paddleboards in and out at the dock was interesting but made for funny stories and pictures. Loved having our own pool. Would absolutely stay here again!

Just perfection!

Our family of 8 had such an amazing time here! The property was beautiful and clean, so close to the beach and shops too. The communication with our hosts was wonderful and very responsive. We had no problems what so ever on this trip and we will absolutely be back! Thanks Scott and Julie!

Good Family Rental

Location was great - short walk to beach close to Publix and activities especially when it was rainy and only in the 60s. Plenty of room for 7 to stay with a spare bedroom. Wished the 1st floor bedroom had a regular door instead of a louver door - we could hear voices of those who stayed up later.

The Grand Slam hit it out of the park!

This vacation rental accommodated our family of nine perfectly. Our married children and grandchildren each had their own bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. The décor was beautiful!

Fantastic Family getaway

This was the perfect property for our big family of adults. Everyone had space and room to get away as well as plenty of gathering areas. Easy walk to the beach, dock space for jumping on kayaks and the green underwater light allows for some really cool evening fish viewing. The house itself is very clean, well appointed and decorated nicely - appliances work well and plenty of servingware for a group - the elevator was a fun lifesaver when it came to getting bags and groceries upstairs- owner was very responsive to all of our questions - highly recommend!

AMAZING

Everything about our stay was AMAZING! Julie was incredible from the initial booking to checking out. She was very helpful and informative of local happenings for July 4th. We have stayed in many houses in Marathon and this by far was the best! The location was perfect! We could walk to the beach, fish off the dock and meander through the waterways to get to the ocean and gulf! My only complaint is we should have stayed longer!

Exceptional Property

For a family vacation with 7 adults and 2 children, this property was perfect. We had plenty of room for everyone. The home is beautifully decorated, was well stocked, and very clean. With the heat, the pool was a welcome break. The kids enjoyed the kayaks. This home is close to the beach, shopping, grocery stores, and plenty of restaurants. What a memorable vacation.

Spectacular Family Gathering

This was such a lovely home to visit. The three floors with 5 spacious bedrooms gave everyone their own space, and there was plenty of spots to gather for meals and pool time. The view of the canal at sunset was beautiful. The location was great; the market is down the road, you can walk or bike to the beach, and there are many excellent restaurants just a couple of miles away. Our hostess was gracious and always available. My elderly father used the elevator and enjoyed the suite on the first floor. It was clean and beautifully decorated. I would stay here again.,

The grand slam

We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay at this very clean and beautifully decorated rental home. Close to a Sombrero beach and very convenient to grocery stores nearby. The elevator was a definite plus. We loved sitting in the pool overlooking the canal. It has great access to taking a boat out to explore the waters and dine out along the way. What a paradise that we were able to share. Thank you.

You won’t be disappointed!

Very clean, great location (near Publix and the beach), excellent host that is easy to communicate with. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was well stocked. Running/biking path right outside. We rented a boat and the dock was perfect - great fishing not far off shore. Go to Irie Island Eats for the best food!

Great Family Vacation!

We just stayed the week of Christmas and it was perfect! The owner was very responsive and helpful with booking different reservations and telling us fun things to do with the kids. The location is great. It’s less than a half a mile to sombrero beach and there is a nice park there and tons of parking if you don’t want to walk. There are a handful of beach chairs provided. It was a little over a mile to Publix and sandal factory. My brothers rented a boat and the dock was perfect for that. We would definitely stay again!

Great experience

This was our third time staying on Sombrero Beach Road and the best experience yet. The last two times we stayed at a VRBO managed by a company. This house, managed by Julie, was much cleaner and better stocked with amenities. The location was great! And although we didn’t have any issues that needed immediate attention, I had Julie’s cell phone number so I could have contacted her directly if we needed anything. Overall great experience and hope to come back again soon!
