A wonderful welcome from the reception staff was followed by a nice sized room, perfect for our 5 night stay. The bed, although a little harder than I'm used to, was very comfortable, and the room itself was quiet. We unexpectedly also had two small balconies, one of which had a view across to the basilica.
My only minor criticism was the lift/elevator. Only one small lift was in operation during our stay, which was an issue for some at the hotel who had to cart luggage up and down the stairs. That said, I appreciate it's an old building so they are limited in what they can do.
I can't comment on food as we didn't eat here, but being adjacent to Perrache station, the metro whisks you into the city centre and its array of eateries within minutes.
All in all, a good hotel.
