Hosts were awesome. On-site to address any questions or concerns. House was surprisingly large with plenty of room for our large family gathering. Views were amazing and Bedford was fun to explore. Overall, a great VRBO and a great experience. I would highly recommend this location and will definitely come back.

The house was spacious with a great layout for our girls weekend away. The two bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs are roomy. The half bath upstairs was a nice plus. We really enjoyed the farmhouse feel. The kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor areas are perfect for relaxing and enjoying the amazing views of sunset and sunrise. The large yard would be great for kids too.

The view was absolutely beautiful. The house was decorated very festive for the fall. I loved sitting on the patio in the mornings watching the wildlife come out into the rolling fields. Over all it is an amazing place and would definitely stay again. Thank you!

This was the perfect home for a family gathering. Yes, the views are stunning! The house is very close to quaint Bedford and the D-Day Memorial. It is clean and well cared for. The extra amenities were appreciated and helpful. The gas fire pit was a nightly center point and the gas grill was immaculate and in excellent working condition. The hosts were gracious and very helpful. I enjoyed meeting this amazing couple and they were available to answer any questions. Absolute GEM!

We love this house. It's nostalgic of Grandmas farm house, it's clean and comfortable. It's sits on a quiet hill with amazing views of the mountains. The owners are very sweet, and let our kids fish in the pond at the bottom of the hill.

Thank you Judy, Preston and Daryl for your hospitality, kindness and access to this simply amazing experience at your property over the 4th of July weekend.This was so much more than a getaway for my family. We were able to get together after several members experienced life altering health issues and it had been a number of years since we were all able to get together.This was a spiritual experience for my family. The peace, tranquility and sheer beauty of the property and the absolutely stunning views of the mountains and countryside surrounding us were above anything we could have imagined.We were blessed this weekend. LUCOM Graduation Trip

Our family of five adults stayed for my son’s graduation from LUCOM. Preston and Judy were super friendly and kind. The property is gorgeous! It was the perfect place to stay for us. The house had all the comforts of home. It was wonderful living in the country for a few days and taking many beautiful photos. Highly recommend! If we ever make it back to Lynchburg, we will stay here again.

Liberty Graduation 2025

The property is beautiful and the house is a darling old farmhouse that was so cozy and homey. The hosts are wonderful people, with whom we had the privilege of visiting with during our stay. We stayed here for our son’s graduation from Liberty University, which is a 30 minute drive from the property. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.

Incredible Place for a Wedding

We originally had another place booked deep in the mountains that got snowed in. We were able to book this location in the nick of time and we just cant say enough good things about the location, the views and Mr. And Mrs. Layne. Everything worked out perfect and I dont think it could have possibly gone better. Thanks to both of you for letting us have our wedding there.

Great visit to the farmhouse

We had such a nice time. The farmhouse is large, well equipped and updated, with a few old fashioned touches to preserve its character. It's very peaceful with no close neighbors.The view is almost as good as being on the parkway. The parkway in this area is spectacular. Our favorite was seeing the "Star" in Roanoke.Our thanks to the Laynes. I hope we were good guests.
