Very poor lighting in the room, particularly the bathroom lighting making it difficult to get ready for the day. The staff upon check in was preoccupied, slow and unfriendly. The morning check in/our staff member was inappropriately talking negatively about religious beliefs. Not the best representation of Wyndham. Not impressed.

This was the worst experience we have ever had at a hotel. The first morning of our stay we got a call early in the morning telling us that we needed to change rooms due to an issue with the fire alarm in our room not working. We had to pack up everything and move to another floor to a smaller worse room. Then that night other guests walked into our room because no one had updated in the system that we had changed rooms and the room was now occupied. This was pretty disruptive to our evening and trying to get to sleep for the night. The next morning I woke up with itchy bug bites all over my hand, arm and foot. We then found bed bugs in our bed and were pretty disgusted and upset by this. We immediately went to speak to a manager about this and found an employee that told us that there wasn’t one available. This employee said that she could help us and we explained the situation to her. We requested some sort of reimbursement and she said “I’m not giving you anything” and accused us of lying. I showed her my many bug bites and asked if she would go to the room so that we could show her the bugs and she replied “ I’m not going up to your room”. We showed her pictures that we took of the bug in the bed and she claimed that it wasn’t a bed bug even though it looked exactly like pictures of bed bugs. She then asked how I didn’t wake up when I was being bitten as if that was proof that I was lying. I asked that she get a manager for us to speak to and she said no.

Staff was excellent first of all so don't blame the people. Room #117 The door does not work ....... Or the AC unit in the room ...... When I mean the door doesn't work, I mean the card couldn't be re magnetized so the only way into the room was to ask the front desk reception to physically pull out a key and let me in EVERY time I left my room. Not the most convenient method of opening the door I will say, but hey maybe next time Ill just try asking for a different room so maybe it's my fault. The nicer thing about this place ........ The fluffy towels. As far as something else there actually is something that could be improved . Firmly, I believe cooperation amongst each other would be wise just to save time and money. Expedia offers the ability to pay for the stay at the end of the reservation on the site but it would be preferred if I didn't have to pay close to $280 dollars extra once I arrived physically on location because of some underlying deposit or fee being administered to my stay that wasn't shown before. normally I could care less about an overall rating but this time I couldn't let it go .
