Absolutely HORRIBLE stay at your own risk

We were assigned room 221 and first attempt with key....didnt work. Tried both keys all different ways and it still didnt work. We went back downstairs to get key fixed. Went back upstairs. Tried keys again still cant get in and suddenly a man opens the door....to our room and said "you've got the wrong room". We go back downstairs and were told the front desk person couldn't help us as they were fully booked and her Manager would be coming in 30 minutes to address the issue. We were exhausted, had a room that wad paid for two nights suddenly unavailable because they gave it to SOMEONE ELSE!!! It wasnt until I had sat for 20 minutes that the front desk person who was saying unprofessional statements about all employees of hotel. She then says "come here, I dont think anyone is in room 224, you can have that room and if someone is in there, just come back down." I said we purchased a room for 2 nights she said "yeah, it will be fine" all night people were trying keys in our lock attempting to open our door! I got no sleep, we packed our luggage and called to infor we would NOT be coming back due to the horrible issues and fear for our safety!

Included breakfast was 6-9am. It was out of stock by 7am every morning. Each day promised it would be restocked immediately and it never was after checking several times. The AC in our room wasn’t working on Friday when we checked in. We reported it and was promised it would be fixed immediately. We complained continuously and it was not fixed (replaced) until Saturday night. So for Friday-Saturday night, the room was unbearable 80+ degrees. We asked for room service/cleaning numerous times Saturday and Sunday and promised it would be done immediately on each call. We received none Friday-Monday. We finally took our towels/etc. to the front desk and waited for new to take back to our room ourselves.

We communicated with the hotel two separate times that we would be checking in around 10pm. We were told this was no problem. We arrived at nearly 10 pm exactly and were told they were unaware the people before us never checked out so they now needed to kick them out and clean it themselves as no housekeepers were there, it would take them 15-20 min. While not ideal we said okay. 30 min later I ask if it will be much longer as we were exhausted after dropping our freshman off at college. The general manager, Cherokee E. then yelled at me and told me that I just need to wait since she was doing this for me! I didn’t really say much after that. When they were finished, an hour later, I asked if there would be any compensation and I was told no. I get to sleep in the room and that’s all they will give! Horrible experience, horrible staff.

There were someone else’s clothes, cereal and opened jam packets in the drawers. Looked liked someone had tried to break down our door to the room. It was bent out of shape like it had been beaten on or kicked open. We stayed there a few years ago and it wasn’t bad then. Staff was nice but did nothing when the clothes and food in the drawers was brought to their attention.

They overbooked. No one at the front desk and we were there with another family for well over an hour until close to midnight waiting to check in until another worker showed up. She was apolgetic for the missing front desk person who was up cleaning a room because the housekeeper walked out, but then told us even though we had a reservations and pre-paid they had no room available. Thankfully, Expedia found us another room at a nicer hotel, but it took over another hour on the phone and a total of 3 hrs before we could get in our room. Very disappointed with Inn America.

The staff are nice, but checked me into someone else's room at first. The hotel is a little older, and my room wasn't the cleanest. TV didn't have very many channels, internet was good so just used my tablet. Room was large, and bed was comfortable. If you need a place to sleep it worked well enough.

Well the hotel is quite nice but the 2 times ive stayed there the 1st tye fire alarm went off at 1 a.m. and stayed on until 330 a.m. that wasnt fun then 1 week later i stayed and the tv jad no cable. I jad to watch old cartoons that put me to sleep fairly early ):

I enjoyed our stay. The staff I did interact with was the night time front desk, and she was very friendly and helpful. The coffee was some of the best I have had with a continental breakfast. And they allowed our dogs with us, another bonus, because our dogs are like our kids to us, very loved.

Overall clean and comfortable stay for the price and location (21st Street in Lewiston is a major business area.) My only complaint is that the windows all have floodlights shining in from the outside, and there should either be an inner curtain or shade that customers can use to limit the brightness, or at least a clamp to bind the curtains together. That’s my only gripe. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

My room was not ready when I arrived 45 minutes after check-in time. When arriving in my room it was a dirty, and when I say dirty spots all over the floor light stuff all over the countertops. It was gross. I did not look like it had been cleaned at all and made me very nervous to even sleep in the bed but I did . My daughter-in-law had to re-clean the entire room.
