The property was under construction and we were not notified ahead of time. Construction workers walking loudly through the halls and machines running at 5 am. Sawdust etc all over the place and my girlfriend has asthma. No offer to waive resort fees or provide any compensation. Bed was comfortable though.

The entire building is pretty much under construction. Everything is torn apart. There are temporary walls put up all over the casino to hide the construction going on. In some places there isn’t even that and the construction and noise from it is just out of the open. They are charging the same rates as if nothing is going on! BEWARE of staying here for a few months until the construction is completed. There is nothing mentioned about it on their website. I would have not stayed here had I known.

We are by no means picky at all, and we’ve traveled a lot, stayed in 1 star rating hotels, with no issues. But this by far has been the worst experience checking in. Nowhere in the hotel site did it say they were under construction, and we don’t mean like fixing small things. This property is going through major renovations and they failed to inform its guests. We did arrive early to the property (about an hour or so) and our room was not ready. We had our bags and there was no lobby area to sit and wait. Once 4 o’clock came our room still was not ready, they gave us a room on the 11th floor when our room was originally on the 14th. When we got to our room, it smelt of smoke. The entire floor was under construction! We called the front desk and after waiting in line again for about 30 minutes they finally gave us another room. The receptionist was probably the worst! It was the worst costumer services I received. If that wasn’t the end of it, my husband used one of their restrooms in the common area and there was water coming out of the bottom of the toilet with feces!! Extremely unsafe and unsanitary! There was no reception on the TVs, smell of dry compound and drywall our entire stay. Be prepared for long wait lines, your rooms not being ready and construction all over this resort!

I picked to stay at Harvey’s because of the pictures it was showing on their website/expedia app… no where did it mention that almost the whole hotel was under reconstruction… White walls and scaffolds everywhere. Broken glass and debris created a path from the parking garage to the elevators leading to the hotel room… I was super disappointed and normally I never write reviews. We had the concierge take our bags and after 1 -1.5 hours of being on hold waiting for our bags to be delivered to our room… my partner and I decided to go downstairs and grab our bags ourselves. Another thing i noticed is the bathrooms conditioner and other toiletries had “gunk” on them to where we had to have more delivered to our room. That’s another story in itself…. We didn’t have our room cleaned and there was no toilet paper… i had called the front desk hoping they could send up a few items. Toilet paper, tissues, cleaner toiletries, and extra garbage bags…. It took nearly 2 hours for them to just sent tissues and forgot the rest. With all that being said… it seemed like the hotel was empty and they barely had any guest?! I don’t mean to sound like a Karen but this is an honest review and hopefully once construction is finished, better service will follow and be provided. I really wish I knew the hotel was under construction. The lobby, easy navigation Around hotel, and not bumping into construction workers and noisy construction… is part of the experience. I would have stayed somewhere else.

Late spring 2025 at Harveys

We didn't realize it was under construction and was assured it was just the lobby. Not true lots of the gambling areas were roped off. Also wall paper peeling under window and above.... still great room, layout floor plan and view of the Lake. Well worth the inconvenience of the construction. Parking was hefty!! Should be included with your stay!!!

This place has a heated pool! One of the nicest hotels I’ve been too and the price is affordable! The only downside is it’s under construction at the moment, at least the lobby and common areas on the first floor, as of 04/23/25. The rooms look amazing and the view is amazing!

Trip ruined by construction

One of the worst trips to Tahoe ever. The whole place was under construction. Was not informed of this before we stayed there. There was construction workers and power tools going the entire time we were there. There was sheet rock dust everywhere. All of the tables for playing in the casino or unavailable. Had very little choices of slot machines. I understand that sometimes hotels need to renovate, but they gave us no information about this before we stayed. They should’ve told us it was under renovation. We paid almost $200 for a room for one night. It was just a complete joke. Ruined our entire trip.

The hotel and casino is under construction and it was not disclosed. The young lady that helped us check in was very rude and not helpful at all. We were instructed to use the kiosk to make it easier, it wasnt. We paid for early check in and were unable to check in early.
