I unfortunately can't recommend Kernville Inn due to a poor experience. We've stayed before due to its location near family events, but this visit was marred by unwelcoming attitudes, particularly from the front desk manager. Our request for adjacent rooms was inexplicably denied, despite availability. This lack of service continued when I was met with silence while getting a new key after locking mine in my room. More disturbingly, after my niece accidentally damaged a Christmas decoration and hurt herself, the manager confronted us aggressively rather than with concern, even threatening to call the police in front of children. Although housekeeping did provide a clean room and a brief friendly interaction, the intrusive room rules further emphasized a general unwelcoming feeling. Despite this, the local Krampus fair provided some consolation. After discussing with family, we've decided to avoid this hotel in the future due to its significant shortcomings in hospitality.

It's a great place to stay. Our room was a bit small and with virtually no place to work on the laptop. The bathroom was very nice. Everything was clean and neat.
