Great motel right on the kern river will be back
Very peaceful.
Location was great. Just out of town, and in a real quiet area - right on the Kern River. Would have been a better rating, but their mid-trip room cleaning wasn't very thorough. There are nice grilling facilities on-site - if we had realized that, we would have brought some food and not had to drive into town for so-so meals. (We went 0-for-5 with restaurant success). This was our first trip to the area, so have nothing to compare the Sequoia to - we'd stay there again.

The manager and her husband were extremely friendly and helpful. My wife and I cooked our dinner on the deck above the river. We spent a few hours on the deck, keeping warm burning logs in the fire pit. The room had a kitchenette with a microwave but no stove; we brought our own. The free popcorn was a nice touch.

the real time reviews are so important to learn from the people we want to attract to our business. i believe consistantly hitting all cylinders is the best way to operate in business. keep it simple and do it good! I am sorry that who ever took your reservation should have explained all the amenities to you. i feel its some of our best perks. i love bbqing like alot of folks. nothing better than a grilled steak in a calm relaxing environment with friends and family. please come back to see us and i personally guarantee to have addressed your concerns. regards

THE FIRE PIT ON THE LOWER DECK IS ALWAYS A POPULAR SPOT FOR OUR GUESTS. WE ARE SO GLAD THAT YOU ENJOYED IT AND WE THANK YOU FOR STAYING WITH US!
