The location is fabulous. It is so close to the park. It was easy to find, parking was adequate, it felt safe. We thought the campground looked clean and well kept from walking around. Check in was easy, lady at the desk was friendly and helpful. The room was older but was clean, beds were comfortable. We would stay again.

The proximity to BNP is unmatched unless you are staying in the park. Nothing fancy, but clean and great AC. Good shower, comfortable beds.

Really great place to stay RIGHT in the badlands

It was a pretty great experience overall. There was no microwave but they got us one upon request with no extra charge so that was nice. Breakfast wasnt the greatest but it was very very cheap compared to most things around. The staff was very nice. Our room was nice but when we girst got there the smell reminded me of a nursing home though once we ran the ac for awhile it lifted and was fine and the views were breathtaking

We were arriving late but called ahead and got after-hours check-in procedures. We arrived, got our packet, but couldn't open the lock box. We called the main number and the after-hours number multiple times, left messages, got no response. After driving out of the way and spending 45 minutes trying, we ended up driving to Wall instead which wasted hours. I called the next day and very condescending lady told us the lock box worked fine. I asked if she used the same number and she said "No, that's not the right number". I told her it was the one I was given and had photos to prove. I also asked why nobody responded to calls to the after-hours line and she said that no calls were made to it. To be clear, I have call logs and photos to prove it all - I posted here originally, but it was rejected due to privacy policies. She did agree to refund our payment, but the hours of time lost, driving back to Wall at midnight, and the way I was treated afterwards made for a horrible experience. I have no idea how the room looked, I never got in, but good luck if you are planning a late arrival and expect someone to be able to help if you have a problem. There was more to our fiasco, but I am at my character limit. This business needs to go back to customer service 101 training in my opinion. The trouble getting in was bad enough (after being given the wrong lock box code) - but being treated like you are stupid or a liar after the fact made it unbearable.

Great location just outside of Badlands. As expected for the price, the room was very basic and overall clean appearance. However, we realized the floor didn’t seem to have been swept or mopped as we could feel a light layer of dirt as we walked around and the bottom of our feet were becoming dirty. Also, huge fly infestation but they leave a fly swatter on back of door so we were able to get most of the flies. Bedding was okay clean, but didn’t notice some stains.

Clean and great location. Our biggest downfall was the wall AC that made the room wet causing the floor to be damp and slippery. Great sunset and Badlands views!

YMMV - close to eastern side of Badlands NP.

Tiny window AC that could barely keep up with heat from outside and was noisy. Bathroom shower still had hair in drain from prior guest. Convenient spot to explore eastern side of Badlands NP was redeeming quality.

Fun little resort with the nicest people!

Clean and quiet resort right outside of Badlands National Park! The room was very spacious and looked like it had some recent updates. The lady at the front desk was nice and had a great sense of humor. The cleaning staff were very nice and funny too! There was a roll-away bed in the room for us so we didn’t have to even ask for one, which we really appreciated. The grounds were very well taken care of. It had some tent sites, RV spaces, a few hotel rooms on the main building and another building with more rooms. The hiking trail was perfect for a walk through the prairie after dinner. We had some pancakes and biscuits and gravy for breakfast. The pancakes were very light and fluffy. I believe oatmeal was on the menu also. There was a little convenience store in the main building with some snacks and groceries too so we had plenty of options. It would be great to have scrambled eggs on the menu in the future but they did have sausage links for some protein. Breakfast wasn’t included but it was reasonable. It looked like there was a nice little dog park too, but we didn’t bring our pets so we didn’t use it. The only thing we were disappointed in was the pool being closed due to some damage. We just stayed in and watched a movie but it would have been perfect to have a swim in the heat. We will definitely be staying here again the future!

Our room was updated compared to the photos currently shown on Expedia— all white linen, vinyl flooring. It was a nice surprise. The bed was comfy and room was clean. Some peeling paint in the bathroom, but that was minor and didn’t affect us in anyway. Wish the rooms had microwaves. I should have read more and realized they didn’t. They did, however, have a coffee maker and mini fridge. Check in and out were seamless and we were given a complimentary bag of ice. Would definitely stay again.
