Couldn’t check in until after 5pm even though check-in was at 3pm. So we just had to wait in the lobby for an hour and a half. The overall hotel was nice but the delay in checking in was a huge problem, as we had plans for the evening and had to cancel dinner due to not being able to get ready.

On Feb 14 (Valentines) my wife and I had a room reserved that according to the Indianapolis Downtown Hyatt was supposed to be available at 3pm for check in. When we arrived at 5pm, we were informed that our room was not only ready, but that they had no clue when it would be. So instead of being able to get in our room so we could take a shower and change our clothes for a major show we were scheduled for that evening, we were told that we could use one of their restrooms to change in and then leave our bags behind their check in desk. Since that was the only option we were given, we couldn't fully change nor take a shower after a day of travel. After the show we checked in only to find our room was not properly cleaned. We found a large stain on the rug, bathroom floor was not clean and there was a large greasy spot on one of the foot stools. My wife and I have traveled all over the world. This was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had, especially at a supposed reputable hotel like a Hyatt. We will not be back.
