A lovely hotel, clean, well-maintained, nice breakfast. A little outside of town but only US$2 to get to centre. Royal Palace & Citadel walkable (20mins) or US$ 1-2 in taxi. All hotel staff very helpful.

Did not like that they gave us a room far away from the lobby. At 77 mobility is an issue. Also did not like that we were given a room with a tub and not a stand up shower. Once again age was a factor in getting in and out of the tub. Hotel premises were beautiful and the room itslef was spacious. Breakfast was excellent.

The hotel is within a short walk to the train station in a lovely tree lined street. We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay. Afternoon tea was included. The room was quiet and the breakfast good. Had a spa treatment one afternoon which was also very good!

Lobby, gardens and common areas were beautiful. Room was perfectly nice, but just a normal hotel room. Breakfast was excellent - we especially appreciated the different local dishes featured each morning. As part of our VIP package, we got a wonderful afternoon tea service. A fun perk. We walked to the forbidden city, the market and back. It’s about a 20 to 30 minute walk.

We don’t usually stay in places this grand, but the off season price was very good. Wonderful pool area and nice room. The restaurant was good, and for a grand hotel, quite reasonable. My wife had a great massage at the spa, and we had the wonderful buffet breakfast one of the days (not included). Quite a good location, a short walk from the river.

The check in doesn’t go smoothly due the Ms Loan at the front reception handler unprofessional regarding about the document doesn’t match on her computer. The morning breakfast not too many selections. The room a bit small compared to Indochine Palace even more expensive then Indochine. I won’t come back to this hotel next time not worth it.

tranquil stay with a touch of the old world charm

we loved our quiet and spacious room overlooking the river. decor there, as in the rest of the hotel, had a touch of the old world though the place was just four years old. the two arm chairs by the big picture window were just right to lounge around in on a lazy morning or after hours of sightseeing. the hotel location near cafe and eateries rather than night spots was a plus for us. we were nicely surprised by the staffers' send-off as we left after four days' stay.
