It was a really good time staying at this hotel. Bummer they were doing pool renovations, but other than that everything went great! Awesome communication from the front desk.

The hotel is in a great area but it is a bit old and it shows. Some chairs in our room were broken, there was some mildew in the shower, and it had an older air conditioner which didn't work great. The staff was great though.

Although the rooms and furniture are a bit aged, it was still a comfortable stay at the Waikiki Banyan Hotel. We would consider staying again. Mahalo

I like how comfortable and large it was for the pricing of the room. I love the mountain view. The location is excellent. It is a much older property and the renovation of the recreation amenities limited what we could do in the property itself. But since it's so conveniently located in the main strip, it wasn't too bad since we could simply go to the beach.

the furniture is dirty and old, cockroaches are running on the tables, the oven is in terrible condition, very old, uncomfortable chairs behind the bar counter, the sofa is broken.

Great location. We stayed on the 33 floor - be prepared to spend some time in the elevator! The room was MUCH older than the photos indicated - linoleum floor was so marked up it looked filthy on our arrival. There are no blackout curtains in the bedroom, only the main living area. Kitchen had limited tools and no flatware that is appropriate for the grilling area (rules indicated no glass) which was unfortunate. The beds are VERY hard. You will need to make or purchase ice. Amenity fee seems a bit outrageous for what you’re supposed to get for it. It felt like we were just paying an extra $25 a day for wifi, disappointing as wifi is usually included in most rentals these days and you don’t get much else for this fee. If you’re looking for a place to sleep, wash up and store your food while you spend most of the day out and about then this place is the right price.

Room was VERY dated. Stove was so old the numbers on the dials were worn off. We have stayed here a few times and love the location. I appreciate the lower price but this one needs to be updated. Good shower pressure. Love that they supply towels for the beach

I have stayed here many times over the years. I like the convenience most. It is still out of date in the rooms. Very basic. The issue I had this time was a running toilet for three days. A nice guy finally got the part. Then the room was only cleaned once the whole stay, which was 7 days. This has never happened before either.

If I could give zero stars, I would. The rooms at the Aston at the Waikiki Banyan were nothing like the photos — extremely outdated, filthy, and full of mildew. The beds were unbearably uncomfortable, and the second room we were offered (thanks to Jonathan at the front desk, the only saving grace of this place) had bugs crawling everywhere. Jonathan did everything he could to help us despite what he was working with, and we have nothing but good things to say about him — but no amount of effort could make up for how unacceptable the rooms were. We had no choice but to stay one night since we arrived late, but immediately cancelled the rest of our stay the next morning. While we appreciate the refund for the remaining nights, we feel a full refund would have been more than fair given how far off the rooms were from what we booked. This was meant to be a special 30th birthday trip, and this hotel was a huge disappointment. Do yourself a favour and book somewhere else.

The place was a little old but clean, pool area great, not very close to Groceries so be prepared for a walk. The elevators were a long wait sometimes up to 15 minutes so even not going your way get on because the next won’t be for long time. I found get up early,early and then easy ride

Don’t waste time looking at these units.

First until we checked into was not very well maintained, fridge was not clean looked like black mould around the seal. No framing trim around the closet doors. Bedding very old and worn. Toilet did not work. Marijuana smell in hallway and into room. We were move to another room later that evening, not much better, bed and hide-a-bed need to be updated. I would discard them both. Bedding not any better either, holes in the sheets.

The room was very dated but clean and large in size. Location is great. Staff very helpful and friendly. Very slow lifts at peak times. Great swimming pool and spa pools. Overall great place to stay and would recommend. helpful and friendly.
