Received no check-in information from host. Contacted VRBO, who was unable to reach the host after our check-in time. VRBO cancelled our reservation, refunded our money, and we were required to find other accommodations for the next two nights. Extremely disappointed.

Perfect homosassa stay. The tiny house and firepit are all fenced in together. The hut itself was actually pretty spacious with 2 places to sleep. We had that winter freeze this weekend and kuddos to whoever did the insulation! We stayed warm! The host was so quick to answer all our questions. Pics do not give it justice for all the local art inside.The whole trip was perfect. We were in town to do crystal river and whether or not youre traveling with pets, Id recommend this adorable spot!

This place is adorable! Communication with the host was good. Great little fenced yard. I slept in the upper bed and it was very comfortable. Microwave & fridge were nice to have. Host provided fantastic suggestions for hikes & eats. If you’re looking for a fun, unique, comfortable place close to Homosassa/Crystal Springs, this is a GREAT option!Here are my critiques (most out of the control of the hosts, but something for others to know before booking) the neighborhood itself isn’t the best. We walked our dog but no sidewalks. Feral cats all over and lots of barking dogs. The water is well water and smells REALLY bad. We bought drinking water. If you’re going to cook food, you’ll need to have your own dishes, etc. The keurig coffee maker didn’t really work best to plan for coffee elsewhere.

I request check in information/codes three times and received no response. The owner essentially ghosted me. I spent over two hours with VRBO representatives trying to resolve this. They tried two times to contact the owner to no avail. At the last minute we were forced to scramble for a place to stay. The lack of response was absolutely unacceptable. O

Die Unterkunft ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Die Wandbilder sind Kunstwerke.Die Lage ist gut. Leider ist vieles doch schon gut abgenutzt und teilweise war es nicht sauber. Auf der Bettdecke waren Tierhaare, aus einem Deckkissen Schockefkeckflecken. Die ganzen Bettwanzen und Ungeziefer Sprays unter dem Bett und dem Kühlschrank hatten uns etwas verunsichert, hatten aber keine Probleme mit Ungeziefer. Auf der Mikrowelle eine dicke Staubschicht, die Küchenutensilien waren in eine Plastikschüssel geworfen, die Becher mit Bunstiftflecken voll. Alles Kleinigkeiten, die uns doch gestört haben. Besitzerin hat im Vorfeld nicht auf meine Nachrichten reagiert. Checkin Infos kamen erst nach dem Check-in. Wir waren in vielen Unterkünfte, Airbnbs rund um die Welt. Insgesamt eher mittelmäßig. Schade, denke die Hütte hätte Potential, vielleicht hatten wir auch einfach Pech.

Best placation ever!!

Great place. She thought of everyrhing. Cozy hut! All the toys you could ever want. Coloring books, nestalgic board games and history of toys was cute. Private yard to hang out and grill was awesome. Hammock, view of the sky was steller! Amazing firepit to sit by under the stars was nice. Close to the Chaz river, kayaking was beautiful. Will definitely be vack!

Making memories

Not what I was expecting, but all in all… everything at the hippy hut was a very relaxing stay. Whole lot of things to do in the area to keep you busy or just enjoy the outdoors by the grill and fireplace. Alyssa is an amazing host… very informational and ready to answer any questions you may have during your stay.

Disappointed

Did not stay. Room was cold enough to hang meat and neither of the tiny heaters I tried worked. Husband promised a refund, and the host (wife) confirmed. I am waiting on the refund. I can’t comment on anything else, since we didn’t stay.

Great experience!

My wife and I stayed there when we had an excursion to swim with manatees. It was super cute and perfext for two people! So much attention to every little detail in a small space! About 15 minutes away from pretty much anything you want to do in Homosassa or Crystal River. Super cute private outdoor slace as well!

Loved the Hippie Hut!

My hubby, son and I rented the hut for a week and we had everything we needed. It’s small, but super cozy and fun! The beds are comfortable and the decor is fantastic! Thank you for a great week in Homosassa!

Charming & Cute

We really enjoyed our short stay. It was surprisingly cool inside the hut which was my concern. The bathroom was a little small but my husband and I are both 6' 1" and 5' 11" ... I think it would be cool if there was an outdoor shower (covered of course!) Very cute place and was perfect for our short river trip.
