The hotel is conveniently locate near the JR Station, but it was certainly there already 40 years ago. The hotel nees badly to be refurbished. The room reeks of cigarette smoke, the toilet / bathroom are leaking. The breakfast is Japanese only and very average. The coffee is very bad. Staff does not speak English at all. I do not recommen this hotel.

Clean and decent hotel

Onsen was great. They had a sauna too. Room was clean and they provided all essentials. Staff was great. Only thing would be that we ordered a double room but the room turned out to be a semi-double instead so the bed was a bit small.

Hotel needs an update but handy for overnight

This is an old hotel, our room was shabby with old furnishings and an old bathroom. But it is not expensive and is close to the railway station so convenient for an overnight stay. We had a great meal at an izakaya around the corner to the right.

Convenient, clean and friendly.

Despite what you read on your booking. This place does have a front deal. Friendly helpful staff. Clean tidy comfortable rooms. Very convenient for station and the castle.

Close too station

Cleanlyness was not too good, rare for Japan but it was great it was so close to the station and the castle. Food was very average and very noisy on our level.

The hotel was a bit older, and not as kept as other hotels we stayed at in Japan. Overall a decent stay. The proximity to the station made it very easy to bring our bags. About a 15 minute walk to the castle grounds which was awesome!

Free bike rental and hot spring bath

The hotel was just 1 minute walk from Himeji station. Although the hotel was very old, I can see that they tried to maintain it as much as possible. The room was super small as expected and the semi-double bed was really small for 2 people. We could take 2 bikes for free and we could ride to the Himeji Castle and around, which saved us a lot of time.

Very stingy management not providing bottled water which all hotels we stayed does & only compliment green tea( limited edition 1 @) but no choice of coffee?!. Only disposable razor & toothbrush for room. I presume their mission is to cut cost & increase revenue by overcrowding the front counter with stuff for sale ! The 'double bed' is too small to accommodate 2 person & we stayed semi-double elsewhere no issue. Location & hotbath is good.

It's not the best hotel so far

First when I entered the building they had 2 guys and 1 women at the office and I was waiting because there was people in front of me 1 guys and the girl were looking at me and I could say they were disgusted of looking at me never had this experience in any other hotel before . After that a guys was waiting behind me and he was japanese they made him check in before me ...... The other guy was really nice and he told me to come he had a ok english so that was ok but I needed to go outside for smoking because had a non-smoking room and they still wanted me to give the key at office everytime ... And when I wanted to check out they didn't said anything not even thank you and have a good trip or anything

Overpriced and not really nice...

Location is great, just 3 minutes from the Railway Station. I've stayed there only one night and honestly, I didn't like it. Room was quite small, with not-really fresh air. The worst was all dirty marks and signs all over the pleace - on the floor, bed, bathroom or even on the ceiling. There was an electric kettle with green tea bags, fridge and some glasses to be used as well. Internet access was included and worked fine. Bathroom was again small and not well cleaned (really old dirt, in example - ventilation wasn't cleaned there for 20 years - you can see pieces of dust attached to that). I will not mention view from our room, but it may happen in the city center - roof of the other building with some rubbish. We kept our windows covers closed. Air-condition was working OK, but remote controller was only in Japanese, it may be quite difficult. In general, that was the worst hoter during our trip to Japan and I wouldn't go there again. Probably I would choose some other hotels in Himeji (i.ex. Nikko, just nearby) or even in Kobe (short Shinkansen drive and much lower prices). Staff was really nice and helpful, but this hotel wasn't good experience. So sorry. One more thing - Himeji Castle is in major renovation until 2015, so you will not see this amazing pleace for some time. It's open inside, but outside covered with metal construction.

コストパフォーマンスの高いホテル

施設はかなり古いですが、部屋は広めで快適でした。部屋のユニットバスは狭く排水口の臭いも気になりましたが、大浴場があるので問題ないです。朝食は家庭的で品数も多く美味しかったです。充実した朝食付きとしては料金がかなり安く、コストパフォーマンスは高いと思います。
