Well to start… called the hotel directly. They bounced me to a call center. Must have been after hours, should have called during the day. Room $85 they charge me $140. Cancelled. Disputing canceling fee. Front desk personnel & room was excellent. Web site my opinion was deceiving No bar or restaurant in operation. Elevator not working. Finding a restaurant that was open on Monday was interesting

I am trying to be fair with my review. The lobby and outside look of the building is beautiful and extravagant. The restaurant and bar were not open, which was a little disappointing. The rooms are okay, but I was woken up at 3am to a fire alarm. It was not their fault but a water pipe had burst in the 3rd floor. I ended up driving 2 hours home. Also not their fault, they were willing to pay for us to stay at another hotel in town.

There was covered parking right by the door and there were little shops and places to eat within walking distance. It was very convenient.

Something different for a change

The hotel was fine for our 1 night stay. The lobby of the historic hotel was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom fixtures sparkled as if brand new. The room was just a little sterile and tired

Cool historical hotel. The guy at the front desk was not rude, but was definitely lacking in people skills.

For us, this was a treasure and we look forward to returning again when we can spend more time in Harrison and Buffalo National River. It is a unique hotel with lots of charm. The rooms are smaller and it does not have the same amenities as chain hotels but it was built in 1929. It’s on the National Registry and we found it to be a delight. The staff was wonderful!
