Overall, this was a fantastic place to relax and unwind after our mountain adventures! The kitchen was well-stocked and everything worked well. Having the Keurig was great for our family. Generally, the house was clean--especially where it counted. We never encountered any pests but we were careful not to leave food out as a precautionary measure for us and for future guests, as they do have ultrasonic pest control devices installed. The drive to the chalet was no worse than any other drive on the mountainous roads in that area--steep and a little uncomfortable your first trip up and down, but after that, it's not so bad (I have a crossover/SUV vehicle, but not 4WD, and we made it).
There were several bears and that was exciting, of course--we were able to watch safely from the kitchen window and from the deck! The fireplace was a nice bonus as well. We had an issue with the hot tub not working the first night and the response was quick and appropriate. We were very pleased with the attentiveness and politeness of our host, Miranda!
We really enjoyed spending time together in the living area. And if you have children, it's important to note that the primary bedroom with the king bed is on the first floor, while the other two bedrooms are upstairs.
Neighbors were friendly, and their dog likes to roam and let you know where the bears are. That was a bonus for us! But don't worry, they aren't too close. This property has the perfect amount of privacy!
