Keeping in mind that this is a basic, no frills motel, it was clean, conveniently located, everything worked, and I didn't have any problems. One minor quibble is that the check-in experience was odd. They have an office but didn't let me in. They did the whole transaction through a window, which made me feel like I was doing something illicit.

Good place to stay for the Avenue of Giants and cross street Ray’s is best place to load up for breakfast, lunch and dinner while staying at Garberville motel.

Worst place I've ever stayed in my life. Person checking me in tried to get me to pay money for deposit in cash. There was a wooden step to get up into the room. The room was filthy. There was nothing in the room except a bed and a small refrigerator. No tables. No lamps. Disgusting.

I appreciated the cleanliness of the room and surrounding areas. Next door to a restaurant, very convenient. Room had a mini fridge and microwave which was great for leftovers. The bed felt like cardboard so not a very good night sleep, but all else considered, not bad.

Often these small private owned Motels have musty smell or cleanliness issues. This motel looked nicely kept on the outside, had plenty of parking right at room , rooms were clean spacious, and best of all smelled fresh!
