view was beautiful weather great manger was a bit strange there was not many places open for eating the days we were there

The view is unbeatable. The thai food on premise was is great. Don't have to go anywhere for a great weekend.

staff warm and welcoming. a GREAT place to disconnect and unwind. it is worth the hour drive.

Loved this place. Gorgeous room. Wonderful managers who tried hard to get out phones to connect to the internet. I’d have given them a perfect all the way around if it worked. We saw 100+ seals & sea lions. Had sea otters right on the rocky beach in front of us. Tons of pelicans and birds. A delicious restaurant right on property offered a scrumptious breakfast and Thai food for dinner. The view from the balcony was outstanding and the waves crashing on the shore was so relaxing. Crazy road to get there but it’s well worth it. FYI there is a small grocery store in town so no need to worry about food as others had mentioned. Loved the place!

Rooms were clean and very pleasant.Open balcony doors with ocean noises was also soothing.

Beautiful hotel with majestic views of the Pacific. Feeling of being in the westernmost point of US.

We had never heard of Shelter Cove before being invited to a family wedding. The drive down the 101 from Oregon was lovely, much of it through the Redwoods. Traveling the road to Shelter Cove from the highway held quite an adventure as it crossed the King Mountains, much of it narrow, steep and winding, but then there was the view of the ocean and the small, isolated community to greet us at the bottom. The motel is situated on the ocean with a small beach in front. Seals lounge around on the rocks that extend into the water. Nearby beaches and trails provide an opportunity to take long hikes. The motel itself was nice and clean but nothing fancy, as it's all about the view. Be prepared to provide your own food, as restaurants are not plentiful or gourmet and close early.

Stayed one night. Shelter Cove is a TINY town with not many services/restaurants . . . but is worth a short stay just for the unique experience of it.

Minimal comfort. Not a lot of bang for your buck. Floor dirty. Nice views and can hear the crashing of waves. NOTHING to do in Shelter Cove. It's restaurant staffed by inexperienced staff. Average food at exorbitant cost. Will not return.

Opened the balcony door and let the sound of the waves lull us to sleep. Walked down to the beach in the morning and saw seals and a starfish in the tidepools. A truly unique experience.

we are happy you had a great time, usually this time of the year shelter cove is in its winter season until end of March, so its been a surprise to all the vendors and restaurant that we have a lot of people traveling, but we welcome everyone, so the restaurant may still on there limited weekend hours, and they have opened weekdays too, but limited hours, thank you for staying with us.
