It was a nice quaint motel that's been slightly refreshed and cleaned. I say slightly because in one of the pictures, there's a nice black granite shower but our room didn't have it. Then there was hair on the countertop sink and on a face towel which I threw it to the ground as bath mat. Overall though, you get what you paid for. We only stayed here because it was cheap, The Northern Inn didn't have the dates available to us, and it was only one night.
PROPERTY WAS OLD AND IN NEED OF REMODELING--ROOMS SLIGHTLY LESS THAN ADEQUATE WITH HANDLES MISSING ON DRAWERS, LOCKS OLD, SCAR MARKS ON BATHROOM COUNTERS, SHOWERHEAD LOW QUALITY, ROOM FURNITURE OLD
The mgmt was very friendly and accomodating. Room didn't have a chemical smell and you could open the windows. The A/C worked well but a bit loud. Went out and bought earplugs at Rays across the street, did the job.
The motel is ok, but I arrived in the evening (6:30 PM), and there were not many restaurants open.
Just under $100 for a two bed non smoking room on a Friday night. Room had a fridge and microwave.
Although the hotel was adequate, there was a $60 fee for us to have our 2 kids there. We had a room with 2 double beds and they charge for kids? That is ridiculous! We stayed 2 nights but it never even occurred to us that we would be charged extra. I should have read the fine print. We have stayed in hotels like this all over the country and this was a first....
The rooms are dated but comfortable. More attention needs to be paid to the bathrooms. They were not extremely bad but there was some mold in the shower and the shower door was missing a handle and did not close. Also none of the hardware was removed before painting which detracts from the aesthetics. Dusting is another task that needs to be performed on a more regular schedule. However, even with those issues, I would stay there again as the price was reasonable.
