Fall Vaca

We found this townhome to be very rustic on the outside but very modern and updated inside. When we built our house we had parquet floors throughout and Berber carpet just like the bedrooms in the townhouse so we especially loved it! The stairs were a bit much for both of us due to knee injuries but we managed. A railing going downstairs would have been a huge help. It would be nice if the dumpsters were closer by the unit. Views from inside were awesome! I really appreciate how easy it was communicating with the owner. We also appreciate that our pets were welcomed and they enjoyed our stay as well!! They had plenty of yard space to play and do their business.

Great place!

First class accommodations! Quick responses to questions. Loved the isolation and sure happy to have taken groceries!! Games and entertainment helped pass a chilly, wet Fall day. Highly recommend!

Birthday get away

Property was beauty and views amazing. Not right place for couple in mid seventies and one with mobility issues. It would have been helpful to have stair rail on last steps to bedroom area. Loved decor, the view and fire pit area. Great secluded getaway,

We had a family reunion nearby and needed a place to rest our head for the night. This was perfect. The place was clean, well lit, and I was able to figure out the t-stat to make the temp perfect. Thanks!

Great getaway

We went to Mayberry days in Mount Airy. Our house was clean and had everything we needed for our trip. Went to the grocery store and got what we needed. We enjoyed our coffee overlooking the mountains in the morning. Great place to stay. Relaxing and quiet.

Gilded Getaway

Nice condo. Lots of steps for older adults. AC is downstairs primarily, so the upper floor was very warm with the high temps this weekend. Suggestions: curtains for upstairs doors for balcony. Box fans for each room. Didn't like having to take out trash to dumpster down the road when leaving, instead of a container at the location....but understand with all the wildlife.

Lovely place, lovely view

This unit was a great base camp to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway in southwestern Virginia. The unit had a well equipped modern kitchen, comfortable furniture, and a great view to Mount Airy. Would see if we could stay here again the next time we are in the area.

Loved this Villa

We had a great time. We loved that it was pet friendly. The villa was well equipped. We really enjoyed biking on the Blue Ridge Parkway and had a wonderful dinner at the Old Mill Golf Resort. We will definitely return in the future

Relaxing

Wonderful overnight stay on our way to the beach. North to south is a long way for the kids so we target the Mount Airy area for a halfway point. This mountain house wasn’t too too far off I77. Better than a hotel. After our relaxing night we trekked down into Mt. Airy to a fantastic coffee shop where we spent some time before finishing our drive to the Carolinas.

Great Stay!

Beautiful place with amazing views off of the back deck. Equipped with everything you could possibly need. Location is a little remote but that makes it quiet and peaceful. But it is still within a very scenic 30 minute drive to the great wineries in Va or to Mt Airy in NC. Highly recommended.

Quiet Time on the BRP Plateau

Quiet property. Great job of refurbishing an older unit. Would recommend rockers for the deck. Ones of next door neighbors would work well- compact and material tolerates weather well. Fully equipped unit. Very comfortable bed.

Sister's trip

My 2 sisters and niece had a very relaxing long weekend. The views, balconies and firepit area were exxellent. We had a very nice cellphone free weekend.We huked and went into Mt. Airy to see Andy Griffin's show.

very well appointed communication with host was very difficult, you were "required" to use Vrbo website and join the app, no thank you! Arrival info was incomplete and required additional communication Wifi was very slow and would support just tv or iPad, but not both

Gem along the Blue Ridge

Perfect unit that met our golfing trip needs. Close proximity to the courses we wished to play. Very quiet area meant restful nights to get ready for next days golf. Views were beautiful, and relaxing sitting on the deck. We look forward to returning to the area next year.Very good communication from Host.

long weekend getaway

The only negative about our stay was that there were cobwebs and quite a few bugs (we killed 2-3 stinkbugs and 2-3 assassin bugs daily). There were also dead bugs in the living room when we arrived. The kitchen appliances are a nice upgrade, but lighting is poor, which made cooking challenging. The location was lovely and our dog loved lounging in the sunbeams in the living area!
