The hotel is within walking distance to the closest subway station, and it's under 1,000 yen from the Hakata JR station (if the taxi driver is good at the direction) if you're traveling with luggages. Hotel staff is very helpful.

It got the job done.

We needed an affordable place near the ferry terminal as we were in Fukuoka for only one night before taking the ferry to Busan. The staff was great and the room served it's purpose... clean and roomy enough for a Japanese room (so it's small, but no smaller than other hotels). My only real issue was the hallway (on our floor) smelled terrible. The room didn't have the smell though, so that's fine.

Great place in Fukuoka

I stayed two nights at Smile hotel and it was a great place for the price. Room was very clean, so was the bathroom and the staff were quite professional and very nice. It is very close to the Fukuoka Ferry Terminal and also to the Hakata Station. For the price, it was more than what I expected the place to be. There are quite a few convenient stores right by hotel as well, the Kawabata mall is within 10 minutes’ walk from the hotel as well

Close to the Port and good walk to the station.

I chose this hotel as it was close to the Port where I would be leaving Japan by Ferry, it was a it of a walk from Hakata Station but we later found the subway so it wasn't really that far to catch a train (which a also goes to the Airport) the Hotel is small and the rooms were also small especially the bathroom but that is common in Japan. The rooms were basic but also very clean and quiet, although there were not that many guests during out visit.

Two nights at Hakata

The staff is very nice and gives a lot of hints, if one need it. The rooms are small and not soo clean, but the beds are cozy and everything works as it should (aircondition, shower, freezer, hair dryer,...) You will also recieve toothbrushes, razors, soap, towels, slippers and yukata for the night. Price and condition are absolutely okay.

Fast stopover in Hakata

I stayed in this hotel just as a stopover as I had an early flight the next day. The staff at the hotel was great, but the rooms walls were really thin and I couldn't get to sleep. Also, the light from the clock is really bright while sleeping. The room also wasn't cleaned very well (I found some hairs on the couch and a bandaid on the rooms chair). The room itself was quite large and the air conditioning worked well. For the price, it was a decent hotel.

Reasonable Price Hotel and Friendly Staff

Hotel staff were friendly and willing to help even with limited English. It would be to far of walk to the nearest subway. The room are small, and bathrooms even smaller, but this made me feel like it is part of the Eco room experience in Japan.

Small hotel close to the harbor

Stayed in a smoking-allowed room, would not recommend it. Smelled a bit awful. Close enough to the international boat terminal to walk to it. The room included an ethernet cable with a jack on the wall as well as hotel-wide WIFI.

Nice hotel and staff

The overall review for the hotel is excellent in everything. Staff are doing their best to make you happy. The only problem is that there was a lack of communication as they donot speak English at all. You always will need google translate to communicate with them.
