My husband and I booked a last minute holiday weekend trip and had a lovely stay! The cabin was exactly as described. We enjoyed hiking the trails nearby and sitting on the porch in the evenings. French Lick is a fun place to visit and we will definitely be back!

Nice little retreat!

It’s a great little cabin in close proximity to French Lick, Patoka Lake and West Baden. Everything was great! Cabin is a bit exposed to State Road with very little Tree screening. So there is occasionally some minor road noise. Small babbling brook next to cabin helps mask. But that is nitpicking! Great stay!

Location

The cabin is more of a hunting lodge. The location is not very good. Right off the highway. The driveway is lacking gravel and is uneven. There is not a good path to walk from your vehicle to the cabin. A person could fall easily. Not worth the price.

Anniversary weekend getaway

Loved the little cabin! It was exactly what my husband and I were wanting for our anniversary weekend. The fall mountain feel but not that far of a drive. Love that it was 6 minutes from French Lick and 25 minutes to Patoka. Cabin was clean and cozy and loved the country setting! Will definitely be back 😄

Mini vacation

Perfect place for my wife and I. Cabin was spotless, smelled new and was the perfect size. Located reasonably well for what we wanted to see and do everything was in the cabin you could possibly need. Our host did a great job! Definitely recommend. Thank you!!!

Fishing getaway

We drove by the drive on the way up 56, but look for the well house columns and you’ll be able to find it. We were hoping to do some fishing and relax by a pond in nature but were saddened to find that the pond is probably 20-30yards from the road and being a state route was highly traveled. With that said we did catch 27 fish (3 small catfish, 2 8” Bass and 22 bluegills all very small. We ended up throwing all them back. We had fun but was very noisy at pond. Cabin was very clean and had an awesome countertop and coffee table. Rooms were good size but no where to put clothes, so glad we were only staying a couple nights. Fridge and kitchen were very nice. The hosts were very awesome and allowed us to metal detect on the property but we only conquered an eighth of an acre. Be prepared for rugged terrain. All in all we had a good time at cabin stay but with a few disappointments. Would stay again for sure knowing what to expect.

Beautiful Serenity

We had a wonderful family vacation! Downtime in the woods, teaching their children how to enjoy nature and spend time together as a family was wonderful! The cabin was absolutely meticulous! Everything we needed was provided, and then some! I’ve stayed in hotels that weren’t that nice! We would definitely come back and we recommended it to our friends!

Nice and cozy!

This property was perfect for just chilling out and getting away from the daily grind! We really enjoyed the quiet and peacefulness of this place. It was close enough to use as a home base for many activities in the area. There were good restaurants not far away too! Would definitely rent this one again! Thanks, Julie!

Weekend Getaway

We wanted somewhere a little off the normal hotel with room to roam. This was perfect! We were able to grill on site and have campfires. It was a 45 minute drive to Holiday World were we spent Saturday. The boys enjoyed hiking and fishing. We will stay again so we can explore French Lick and the surrounding tourist caves.

Great cozy cabin

This was a beautiful cabin, just as described. Plenty of extra amenities for our family and pet friendly. It was super close to French Lick and 40 minutes from our other adventures. We will definitely be staying again!

The cabin itself was immaculate. Air tight and beautifully furnished. While we appreciated all the firewood left, it was in kinda a shambled heap of boxes and bags. A shed to store the mower and other implements left behind would be nice. We were disappointed that the beautiful cabin set so close to the highway. We enjoyed the woods, but never felt like we were in the woods due to the highway.
