The Richard Johnston Inn is a historic inn with loads of charm. We stayed in the Virginian room, furnished with antiques and modern amenities, alike. The Inn is supposed to be haunted but we felt no ghostly presence! Rather, the warm welcome from the super friendly and efficient staff, plus the delicious, freshly cooked breakfast, made us feel completely at home. Highly recommended for a short getaway or as a base for exploring the surrounding area.

This was the cutest boutique hotel! In the Middle of the best part of Fredericksburg. The staff were oh so welcoming, a very nice compliment to The charming facility. We are like stay here again hands down over a more ‘contemporary’ stay in a chain elsewhere.

The inn keeper and all other staff with whom we interacted were friendly, helpful, and efficient. They accommodated our slightly early arrival and late departure, which made our trip extra relaxing. The bed was super comfortable and all areas of the inn were clean, tidy, and welcoming. We enjoyed relaxing indoors, both in our room and in the public areas inside the inn, and out on the patio. The breakfasts and snacks were good. The location of the inn is excellent and easy walking distance to multiple shops and restaurants.
