Absolutely no running, jumping, or horseplay of any kind on decks.

June 19th to August 5th (Give or take a few days)
* Greenhead flies are a pest around the waterfront areas of Fortescue from mid-June thru late July. We recommend bringing bug spray and wearing as much white as possible, as greenheads only can see darker colors. They are also attracted to the heat of your vehicle so driving around can be quite unpleasant during these few weeks of the summer. But with the proper awareness and precautions, we have had countless guests enjoy all that Fortescue has to offer, even the beach, during these weeks. Some small children could have a hard time being outside in daylight hours during the greenhead season.
The vacation home is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with 3 bedrooms and a dining area. Guests can enjoy a Smart TV and stay connected with free WiFi. Other standard amenities include a washing machine, a coffee maker, and an ironing board.

What a wonderful find. The place was very clean and host was responsive and easy to communicate with. This house is tucked into a quiet NJ fishing town. Sitting on the deck, listening to the birds and feeling the breeze off the bay was amazing. Could not have been better!

This house was such an unexpected delight. My wife is pregnant and we decided this summer to take small weekend trips. This was definitely one of our favorite stops. The house was so calming. Classical music playing when we opened the door. Going to sleep hearing the old clock ticking. Watching ospreys flying in the backyard. Absolutely the best. The owners took really good care to make sure you’re comfortable. My wife’s blood sugar dropped during the night and I made her oatmeal that was provided by the owner. It was a lifesaver! I would highly recommend this house for your stay!!

I can’t say enough good things about this stay. Truly one of my best experiences through VRBO and others. Everything was PERFECT! We loved it and wish we could have stayed longer. The hosts were so helpful and kind. The views were beautiful, and the home was immaculate. It was quiet and peaceful. My daughter who is 7 months old actually enjoyed the grandfather clock lol. :) we can’t wait to come back when we have another race weekend. Thank you again for a cozy stay Jeffrey and Melanie!

What a lovely place! The setting is so unusual and inspiring, right between the seemingly endless marshes on one side and Delaware Bay on the other. The house itself as neat as a pin, with everything fresh and well-organized. Perfect as a a base for exploring local history and local nature or just for slowing down from the busy world. Redwing blackbirds call from the reeds, gulls arc above the bay, and we did see one bald eagle a bit inland on the Fortescue road. Along the Bay, there's a long, long clean stretch of sand for walking and ruminating.
