What a lovely little hotel. The service was great! The room and entire property was very clean. They had nice amenities such as a pool, hot tub, sauna, limited menu and bar. It is very close to the Faro Airport and very reasonable priced rooms. It was a great stay!

We stayed one night at Ria Formosa Guest House. The room was quite nice: spacious, new, well decorated, and super clean. The woman who checked us in was very nice and helpful as well. The interior of the hotel was well maintained, and the sitting room was nice, but the front desk was definitely lacking - literally just a desk next to the front door and is not staffed 24 hours. Location is why I did not rate this 5 stars: while it is near the Faro Airport, which is what I think everyone who stays here is looking for, it is a 15 minute walk through residential streets to get to the hotel. So the area directly around the hotel is completely devoid of any conveniences like shops, restaurants, grocery stores, public transportation, etc. That being said, I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a 1 night layover flying to/from Faro Airport.

Tastefully appointed, fabulous crisp linens and towels, great shower, plenty of attention to detail. Breakfast was all you could ask for, very fresh. Great location if you need the airport early otherwise just a reasonable UBER to town.

The property was lovely, very new, clean, and quiet. Beds were very comfortable...we had 2 twins. Margarita at the front desk was very helpful. She encouraged me to schedule/reserve an Uber since we needed to leave at 4am. Said it is more reliable for the early hour rides. It is very close to the airport which is why I gave the area around RFGH a 3star. You can WALK to the airport through the neighborhood. We didn't walk and wished we had, but we didn't know about safety and street lighting at 4am when we had to leave for our flight. Even though the airport is a 5 min drive away, our room was quiet. RFGH is not close to the city center, but it's a short Uber ride. Expedia website says that taxes and mandatory fees are included. FYI, I had to pay local tax (4 euros) at check-in. We would stay here again .

Super convenient overnight + easy walk to airport

A brief but great stay prior to early flight the next morning. Comfortable beds, great bathroom and spacious deluxe room on 1st floor. Parking adjacent and super convenient to the airport which was why we booked. Easy car hire drop off at the airport and then a 15 min walk back to the hotel via a restaurant for dinner. Easy system to return room entry cards if leaving at 4 am. Pleasant aspect over the nature reserve towards the airport although arrived and left in the dark so unable to fully appreciate this and the pool. Would stay again.

Everything about the property was great. Great facilties, clean and spacious. The chef was very professional, friendly, and helpful. However, I was disappointed that the property manager said I had booked the room for two adults and one infant, and because I had a 11 year old child I was charged an additional £50. I have done a few bookings this summer and have always included a 11 year old child, and my confirmation show this. I wasnt happy I had to pay the extra amount, and think that there was an error between Expedia and the guest house when booking was made. The booking included a 11 year old child, not a baby. I felt taken advantage of.
