The area is almost car-free. In summer, two transferable mountain railway tickets for unlimited trips are included during the stay. Children up to the age of 9.99 travel for free all year round! Children up to the age of 15.99 travel free of charge in summer with a valid SBB junior ticket. Parking is available in the underground car park or at the Emmetten valley station, for a fee. Luggage can be unloaded at the ramp at the gondola lift valley station. For summer users there is a car arrival and departure permit with a fee (CHF 40.-- As of 2025), this can be requested 3-4 working days in advance and is only valid in summer. The access is via a narrow tar forest road. The permit is valid only on the day of arrival and departure. Options: you can drive to the house, unload the luggage and leave the car at the house for free for the rest of the stay, or you can park at the valley station for a fee, drive back to the house at the end of the stay, load luggage and continue your trip. In winter, the Schneetöff brings the luggage to the house on request and for a fee. In addition to the Beckenried Emmetten cable car, there is the Waldibahn, 24/7 in self-service with online payment (Twint or credit card).

Einzigartigen Ort, freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber und mooei Natur haben!
Es war eine große Überraschung, dieser wunderschöne Ort auf dem Gipfel der Berge! Wir sahen einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang vor den Bergen, wir sahen nichts im Nebel, wir sahen eine überraschende Berglandschaft um uns herum. Die Vorbereitung war perfekt, dank der freundlichen und super hilfsbereiten Gastgeber, auf jede Frage bekamen wir schnelle und umfassende Antworten, in allem dachten sie mit uns. Das war auch nötig: dieses Haus ist nur mit der Seilbahn zu erreichen, aber wegen der Behinderung meiner Frau war das nicht machbar: sie muss in der Nähe aussteigen können. Zum Glück halfen uns unsere Gastgeber: Wir konnten bei der Gemeinde eine Fahrbewilligung beantragen und bekamen sie, so dass wir mit dem Auto zum Haus gelangen konnten. Man muss sich dessen bewusst sein, die Kosten sind nicht gering.
Aber die Lage des Hauses macht einen Aufenthalt im Sommer und Winter super-attraktiv! Und wer kann, kann wunderbar wandern, und auch mit dem Auto gibt es in der Umgebung viel zu tun.
