In walking distance Shavers Fork of the Cheat River for fishing (stocked), swimming, kayaking and floating. Near many recreational areas: Elkins (9m), Mountian Scenic Train (10m), Canaan Valley Resort (28m), Timberline Ski Resort (27m), Black Waterfall State Park (34m) Seneca Rocks (26m) Snowshoe Mountian Resort (58m)
